With the exception of Matt Carpenter the Cardinals hitters have performed very well against Gio González in past outings (>1.000 OPS in 148 plate appearances if you remove Carpenter). Even with Carpenter’s abysmal 2 for 21 against Gio the current Cardinals lineup still carries a .996 OPS in those 169 plate appearances.

Michael Wacha on the other hand has held current Brewers hitters to a .638 OPS over a 140 plate appearances. Wacha is struggling this year so hopefully today is the day the Brewers breakthrough against him.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

I still feel pretty good about Gio tonight although the numbers certainly indicate otherwise.

Sitting moose vs a righy, something happen last night?

Moose 2-18 vs Wacha. Not sure if that's the reason or not though.

I feel like finding a way to get Perez in there is the reason

Too much line-up tinkering.

Too many times we have some of our best 8 hitters on the bench.

I give up trying to figure out what CC is trying to do.

Let them play!

Right handed hitters have destroyed Wacha this season......that is why the Perez is in over Moose......I'm sure....

But clearly we used up all off our hits on Saturday and Sunday........so really doesn't seem to matter.

1 hit in 11 innings.......

There are times that Mr. Braun looks so clueless in the outfield.
