Arcia’s MLB ranks via FanGraphs:

#139 out of #140, the only one lower is Khris Davis and his defense rating is way messed up for only 86 innings in the field. So really, Arcia is the worst qualified player in baseball.

#140 out of #140 just offensively, BY A MILE. Like, it isn’t even remotely close between him and the next guy.

I don’t know how you take that into next season as your starter. He only gets worse.

This is shocking. I knew it was bad but man. You gotta move on from him. It's tough being homegrown and all but enough already.

Your wrong AGAIN. That’s what was said. I’m surprised I was the only one watching that game on the Cardinals feed. Sorry I relayed what was said. That’s the 2 nd time today you’ve called me a liar. Whatever.

I'd like Woodruff, Davies and Houser as the bottom three.

I would love your plan to acquire two pitchers better than all-star Brandon Woodruff.

Well, I didn't say it was likely, just that I'd like it.

Ok ok, enough.

Pretty convinced this is the end of Arcia. It’s gone too long.

I'm nervous about this after seeing what Segura did after we gave up on him.

Then oh well. Clearly we can’t fix him. So many guys switch organizations and get a new recommendation to help them out. People assume, “Man we gave up too early and he figured it out.” No...likely his new organization was the answer and if we kept those guys they would still suck.

I don’t think he could ever be what we thought. I think those hopes were way inflated due to one season in AA. It got the hype train rolling like crazy since he had the defense to bring him to the MLB aaa is. If he can be above average hitting at this point that would be unreal. Likely another Alcides Escobar from the Brewers farm.

Please ignore. It's actually been a really great IGT up until his post.

I don't get Peralta. I don't know if I've ever seen a pitcher whose stuff varied so much outing to outing.

He's a mod he can't really ignore. Sorry.

Freddy went from low 90s to upper 90s in a what seems like one season.......do I have that right?

He's made that jump up and down several times this year.

Might have something to do with relieving as opposed to starting. He can let it all hang out as a reliever because he won't be counted on for more than a couple innings. As a starter, he had to save something for more innings.

I'd just like them to put an emphasis on acquiring talented starting pitching. It seems like it really hasn't been a priority, and while the starting pitching hasn't been horrible, it would be nice to see more consistency there.

BA, please do not build Machado up as any more than the punk he is.

Thank you.

He’s actually been really good since he’s been back up. Just like the rest of this really good pitching staff that we’ve had since Aug 31.

Depends on what you mean by talent. I think that translates to velocity for me. I'm not entirely sure Woodruff doesn't miss a few spots a game as well. The difference is he has the stuff to get away with it. I know you don't throw hard to be a successful starting pitcher but it sure seems most top shelf starting pitchers throw hard, or at least did at some point. I'm probably not explaining my stance well here but there it is.

Arcia is back!
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

No, I think you you explained it well. It is very difficult for a non gas thrower to become an ace-type pitcher. The ceiling just isn't typically there. A guy who throws in the upper 90s, but can also mix in solid secondary stuff just has that much more going for him, plus with his heat he can get away with not having terrific command every time out.
