Cubs players are generally fine, they just have horribly obnoxious fans. Whereas the Cardinals players themselves are generally turds and most of their fans aren't that bad. Weird stuff.

I'm not surprised at all that a team that saw him frequently picked him up. He's always done things you only appreciate by seeing in person. He's a very heads up player. I think if the right hitting coach comes along, he's got ability to hit better than he has the last couple years. It's hard to quantify what a glue guy gives to a team, but Perez was certainly that with Brewers. I'll be hoping he does well individually.
