We haven’t done diddly poo against these Dbacks starters all series.

Diddly pooing has been a trend with all starters this year, regardless of how bad. it’s like they can’t make adjustments and only hit off middle relief.

I love Garcia, but I could easily imagine him jogging on that ground ball error to first that Urias just legged out.

what just happened there? did they call that an infield fly?

Yes, but it seems wrong

Arizona looks like a joke this inning. I don’t know why you walk Garcia to pitch to Adames with the bases loaded either.

What an odd inning. The interference, the fielding error, the infield fly rule... and the pitcher hitting in the first run

He called it before it hit the ground, so I will give the ump a break. He camped under it and he called the infield fly. Unfortunately, a millisecond later the fielder realizes he was indeed not under it. It was shallow. If that fell by his feet we are getting doubled up.

You wish it wasn't called till a guy fakes that and ends the inning with your runners looking dumb.

That's not really an incorrect call, just not a very clear rule. They need to clean up the rule and have a certain distance in where an infield fly can't be called anymore.

Yeah, this is good. I thought infield fly right away off the bat, and that SHOULD have been routine given where VanMeter started.

It just gets tricky with shifts because "ordinary effort" changes a whole lot depending on starting position.

So far, the at bats look better from Keston. Hope that is the continued trend.

Why bunt with a guy who is obviously a terrible bunter but has a fighting chance to get a hit if he swings away, as he already showed.
Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I'm never a big fan of bunting over runners for the 2nd out. I get that a double play comes into play if you swing but I think I'd still like 2 at bats at knocking in a run over a bunt. I'm sure they have data on it but it's just what I'd rather do.

That will be called an infield fly 100 times out of 100.

The frustrating thing about it is that when the ball is hit to the right side, it would be really tough for the fielder to trap the ball and get a DP on it because of the long throw to third.

There has probably never been an infield fly call as controversial as that one in the Braves wild card playoff game a few years ago that they were talking about on the telecast. That one was much farther into the outfield.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

One of the best early returns is only one swinging strike by Keston. Yes, it’s only three at bats, but it’s something.

That was a lot of cheering for Garcia's RBI line drive there. It felt like there were more Brewers fans in the stadium that DBacks.

That is normal here. If the team is doing bad there are more visiting team fans than home team fans. Even when the Dbacks are doing good there can be more visiting team fans than home team fans.

The Cubs, Dodgers, Giants and Cardinals can be really lopsided. If you think Cubs Brewers is bad in terms of Cubs fans versus Brewers fans it doesn't even compare to Dodgers vs Dbacks probably a 70-30 split in the favor of the Dodgers even when the Dbacks are playing good.

It's so nice that CC is letting our starters work through things more deeper in games.
