another inspiring at bat for Christian. Just cannot continue to throw him out there in the 3 hole. Move him down to the 5 spot and bump anyone else up.

Yeah, I'm not entirely sure why Counsell KEEPS putting yelich 3rd.  The guy's able to take walks and slap some base hits here and there, but that's about it.  If he hits 8 - 10 homers this year, I'll be surprised at this point.  Hit him leadoff, or hit him 6th or 7th.

The offense has started out struggling.  Aside from getting rid of Bradley, who was one of the worst performers in MLB history, and basically swapping Renfroe in for Garcia, the offense is pretty much the same as last year, which was overall around a league average offense.  It's not "horrid".  It's struggling right now, which is frustrating to watch.

Okay … I will adjust my view to their offense is horrid “right now” & hopefully will improve

BTW - just for fun, early this morning, I looked at stats for Garcia & Bradley in comparison to Renfroe … oddly enough, Renfroe was hitting .212, Garcia .202, & Bradley .190 to start the day

Meanwhile Hader and the starting pitching probably walk because you know finances.

I think that is pretty much a given at this point.

I would expect we trade Burnes, Woodruff, and Hader in their contract years.

I got news for you. Hader and Burnes aren’t going to see free agency on Stearns’ watch.  In the likely event they aren’t locked up with longer deals, they will be dealt for considerable value.

Yankees appear to be fed up with Joey Gallo. he's been terrible. How bout Yelich for him?? Who says no??

Yankees unless you are paying about 30% of Yelich’s salary.

Probably the Yankees, as Gallo is only signed through this year.

One can only dream … but I can’t imagine the Yankees would do that deal

Yelich is such a “good guy” - but I would make this trade in a heartbeat

Maybe a change of scenery would benefit each player

They need a closer so maybe expand the deal and give them Hader as a sweetener to take the money and get back another piece?? I get that he's worth a ton but just how much more than getting that money off the books??

102mph is fast

I honestly don't know why pitchers aren't just jamming fastballs right down the middle at Yelich until he proves he can actually hit anything with something resembling authority.

Very clutch, Tyrone!
