Even last night when they scored 5 runs the team had only three hits. You really have to be wearing rose colored glasses to think this lineup is good enough with this cast of characters.

You forgot to mention the failure to sign Castellanos

Hiura's career as a Milwaukee Brewer is essentially over. There's nothing more we can do for him. He's going to be traded, probably sooner rather than later.

Luckily for Hiura, not a single regular in the lineup has hit much at all this year.  Only two platoon, non-qualifiers have been somewhat productive in Rowdy and Victor.  Might as well give him ABs until we find about six new position players who can hit a baseball.

Lefty for Christian Yelich this time although he has had a pretty bad streak since the grand slam.

Love this conversation! Glad it shows up in every thread now! ?‍♂️

Adames is really struggling at the plate.

It's not like he hasn't been hitting the ball hard, though. Just hitting into some bad luck right now. Good thing we have the off day tomorrow.

I think Oakland would be the perfect sort of team to acquire Keston and give him a long leash at the MLB level.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

They didn’t bring in anyone of note. Whether it’s Conforto or a trade this team needs one if not two good hitters especially if Adames doesn’t put up similar numbers to last year. The pitching is great but the lineup badly needs some better hitters.

I know Hiura is the whipping boy of choice but outside of Tellez and flashes from Yelich this lineup is brutal. Adames is horrible right now.

Why are we picking on Hiura when 2/3 of the lineup has been atrocious.

This gets so old.

Some of you seem to be forgetting the impending return of Urias. He won't solve all of this lineup's issues by himself, but he will certainly help.

Really it's 11/13 on the roster all starters or platoon guys who have been below average to terrible.  8!! hitting .200 or below.  9!!! with a sub .600 ops

Looks like we may need to start having the small sample size discussion again....Literally everyone besides Tellez is hitting well below their career averages. Unless the entire team has started a massive, coordinated decline, I refuse to believe that the sky is falling.

Wow, nice throw Willy!

There is certainly something to be said for a good old fashioned pitcher's duel. Here we are at the 7th inning stretch, and the game time is still under 2 hours. Don't see that very often anymore.

I think yesterday was a good one too.  Around 2.5 hours I think without looking it up.

Was that really great baserunning?  Seems he assumed the throw would be going home and was a sitting duck if the first baseman who cut it off was paying attention.  I think I'm going with luck.

The pitchcom thingy is making a huge difference. Look how fast Yajure is throwing here with a runner on 2B. You would never see that in the past.

The team finished last season with an overall battling line of .233/.317/.396 good for 23rd in baseball so you should be concerned.
