So, thanks to Taylor, McCutchen’s gaffe just costs one run.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

LOL

Brewers got the lead.  He's gone now.

Questions are a burden.   And answers a prison for one's self.

With my eye I can see that Tyrone Taylor is/was/has been a better option than LoCain the entire 2022 season.  What do the Professionals think they saw that we had to give away a win to confirm what everyone but a handful of professionals didn't know?

It's because you don't give up on veterans without giving them due process. Tyrone Taylor is a bad defensive centerfielder and that will cost the Brewers runs over the course of a season. You don't hand him the keys without finding out whether Cain is truly cooked.

Good job, Alexander. But that's it for you. I'd be tempted to pitch Williams or Boxberger in the next inning. I'm sure it will be Sanchez, though.

1) This organization knows what suckitude is as the have gathered more than the normal share of "THE WORST HITTER" in baseball from Betancourt to Arcia to JBJ. We had several years of watching Travis Shaw hit like he was blind to know what really bad and washed up look like.

2) Taylor is a very good defender.  Just for comparison he has a +6 DRS in about the same amount of innings as Cain (over the last 2 seasons) where Cain was +9 DRS.

I’m unable to watch. Do you think Alexander will start the sixth? Will he pitch to Goldschmidt?

I hope not. But I'm thinking Counsell will probably try to get another inning out of him, unfortunately.

The problem with using DRS here is that Taylor played the overwhelming number of innings at a corner spot. Put Cain at a corner spot for 800 innings and his numbers would be through the roof.
