MLB.com still has Jose Quintana listed as the Pirates starter, but it appears it’s going to be Zach Thompson. I’m traveling today, so if anyone can update the lineups this morning that would be appreciated.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

So Davis is now the only true center fielder on the roster?

That seems risky to me.

Who plays if he gets hurt? Cutch? Yelich? Jace? Lol

Unfortunately, I'd probably guess Cutch.  Even though he's now really bad at it, he's the guy that's played CF extensively in his career.  If he had to play CF for half a game, it wouldn't be the end of the world. I'm sure they'd muddle through and call someone up to take Davis' spot for the next day.

The Pirates inexplicably still haven’t released a lineup with just 25 minutes until first pitch.

EDIT: Finally released just now.

Christian Yelich's WRC+ since June 7 is 150.....He's second in all of baseball in LF fWAR in that span behind only Yordan Alvarez. Also, with half of the season to go, he's now matched (fWAR) or surpassed (bWAR) his WAR total from last year.

Yes.  Yelich has been instrumental in the offense being pretty good lately.  It almost coincided with him moving to leadoff

What’s with the “cute” base running lately?

I’m not a fan of the 3 catcher arrangement, but hopefully it will not last any longer than Taylor’s concussion IL stint.

I’m also not a fan of throwing some guy at 1B who has never played there. It never seems to take long to lose an out and give up runs because of the 1B messing something up by being out of position or making an error.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Lead off walk , always seem to bite us in the u know what ! Whoops maybe not a lead off , listening on radio .

There haven’t been any walks yet. The Pirates had a leadoff single in the first that was wiped out on a DP.

A win today to salvage a split in Pittsburgh is important

The Brewers haven’t played as well at home this year

The roster is a bit wonky … 3 catchers & 3 “true” outfielders

When Renfroe returns, I assume Hiura goes back to Nashville

I hope they keep Brosseau because of his defensively versatility

When Yelich was batting #3 and (all too frequently) came up with 2 out, the opponents didn't really need to pitch to him, especially when there was no obvious threat behind him. So he walked a lot.  Moving him to leadoff was truly a great move. Now when he walks, he's a threat to run... and score.  Some of y'all who crunch numbers could probably explain that better.

Rowdy's DP ball was hit harder than those last two Pirate hits combined.

Another head scratching play from Wong.

With Vogelbach  lumbering to second I think he had plenty of time to field that ball on the hop and turn and make a throw to second instead of the backhand flip.

Good thing we can get rid of him after the season.

Wong is not good this year.   He seems like a air head out there.

His bat has been fine, but some head scratching defensive moments for sure.
