Reminder that the Brewers selections this evening are #27 (1st round), #63 (2nd round), and #72 (Comp B round).

Rangers lost a lot of picks due to free agent signings... wonder if Rocker took a below-slot deal given that it's a $7.59M slot value.  I'm sure the Rangers would love to have another $1M-$1.5M to entice some HS guys in later rounds.

I don’t know where his future is defensively [likely 2B], but it seems Termarr Johnson has the bat to be a thorn in the side of NL Central foes for a long time. He was my favorite hitter in this year’s draft.

A bit of a technicality since Kumar Rocker isn’t considered a college guy, but it’s the first time since 1971 that a college player wasn’t taken in the first five selections of the MLB Draft.

The Cubs selected RHP Cade Horton (4.86 ERA at OU this season) over Brooks Lee, Cam Collier, Kevin Parada, Gavin Cross, and Jace Jung.

He is coming off of TJ surgery but yeah this is a head scratcher here.

It is tough to tell with all the things that go into the MLB draft, but I wonder if teams are more skeptical about Parada’s ability to stick at catcher than the list makers.

Jett Williams off the board.  So we won't have to hear about a certain poster complain about lack of upside due to lack of height.

I will probably end up being wrong, but with Horton, Rocker and Hughes off the board, it is feeling like a college bat is looking increasingly likely.

Can never have enough outfielders.

Pretty sure his upside is 68”.

I wonder how many fiscal hoops a team that would pick Collier or Porter here would have to jump through, let alone by the time the Brewers' pick rolls around.

I guess we will see with the Reds

Pirates and Reds both add very exciting HS hitters. Curious to see where the financials land with Collier.

I kind of figured that the Braves were stringing Collier with the extra pick they traded for providing the money, but I guess not. We'll see if it is Porter instead or if they just wanted another pick.
