I think he means that they have no desire to play on a team that provides them no run support.

Oh.  I think they'll probably either take a hometown discount if they really want to stay here or more likely sign with the team that gives them the most money.

It's so obvious to me that this offseason only Yelich, Adames, Caratini are safe going into 2023.  Every other player is at risk (some more than others) of not being an everyday player for the Brewers.  Sure Urias/Tellez are near locks but even them I wouldn't consider definite.  This offseason will be interesting on how the offense is addressed.  It is absolutely ridiculous that back to back nights your starters get you 6 shutout innings and both leave are saddled with no decisions.

Advantage Cubs now that the game is in the hands of the Brewers bullpen.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

What's up fellas!! Just jumped on to see the crew doing what they do. Mitchell and Hiura on the bench sure makes sense given how the others have performed. Brewer fever catch it!!

I can’t imagine they’d want to stay here for a hometown discount. Not only is the offense putrid, the front office has demonstrated that they will not supplement the offense enough to make a real difference and help the team make it deep into the postseason.

Why would Caratini be safe?? He has sucked. Hiura Adames and Tellez is all I want to see back next year.

B2B nights the starter goes 6 scoreless and b2b nights the starter is rewarded with a ND. Yes, the offense is the problem. The fact that Stearns had the audacity to say, at the deadline, that this lineup had "no holes" or whatever variant of that is just comedy. My man has one foot out the door.

We aren't strong enough with a proper O/D mix in the minors.  Unless we are signing a FA no way we combo Feliciano/someone else.  In short, default based on position played.

Ok and the two games before that the pitching gave up 12 runs and 10 runs.

There was some banter about this after last night’s game, but if I were asked to come up with one word to describe this Brewers team it wouldn't be “entertaining”.

Yes, vs the best team in baseball.

Now do the offense's numbers for all of August.

If this were the Packers, I couldn't even begin to imagine how much the sky would be falling. The Brewers have played at a 72 win pace since Memorial Day. If the Packers played a full season at that pace (7.5 win pace in a 17 game season), nobody would be saying "it's entertaining" or "we're in the race." Can't believe the leniency the Brewers get.

A quick chart of each game starting with the Sunday game in Boston showing the Brewers runs and his and results would answer this question

Especially if you disregard runs scored in extra innings courtesy of the free runner, and discount garbage runs scored late in lost games (such as runs scored off of position players pitching).

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.
