Had to take a break from the game thread for a couple of hours as I was out to dinner. Having now read through what I missed, I really miss the game-threads of a couple years ago or even a year ago. Actual level-headed analysis, then. Not so much now....

lol

These takes are always hilarious from the high and mighty elites that consider themselves above these threads, but continue to show up every night.

Get over yourselves, and it isn't just Brewcrew82, in the past hour or so, others have made the same type of comments.

If it's so bad, why are you here?

Not even just the in-game threads, though they are by far the worst. I just read a post yesterday about how we should fire Counsell....

Except Stearns can't fire him because he's too busy packing to go to NY.

I don't want to criticize, but you are now whining about the whiners.

Yeah it's kinda like beating my head against a wall isn't it? It isn't fun participating when the sky is falling literally every time something doesn't go the brewers way in a game. These guys would literally be the guy sitting at the bar that nobody wants to talk to because they are miserable humans and not enjoyable at all to be around or watch a game with, yet nothing can be done here so they consistently pop into the game threads with their negativity and completely ruin them. It's what it is, it's probably time to stop beating my head against a wall and pushing back against them.

I would cool it down a little bit. Cubs have been a decent team since July.

I was suggesting that Williams struggles tonight were because he had to spell Boxberger yesterday

… and I don’t need a daddy ?

It's funny, but I've felt for a long time the Hiura backers feel that exact way about McCutchen, that they'd rather see him fail. This civil war seems more important than the results to way too many here.

It shouldn't be an either-or, particularly because McCutcheon has been decent a good chunk of this year when other parts of the lineup weren't....McCutcheon hasn't had an OPS over 0.700 against RHP since 2019 and mashes LHP.  Hiura, despite small sample size alerts, hits much better against RHP compared to lefties.  It's a natural DH platoon situation that hasn't been allowed to happen consistently and it's really frustrating.

I'm here cause I'm a fan of the Brewers and enjoy talking baseball with fellow die-hards. Maybe you don't remember, but the owner of this site issued a warning a few months back about how the in-game threads have increasingly gone off the rails negativity wise. You can deny it all you want and call me a "high and mighty elite" (whatever that means), but it's not just me who's complained.

in game threads are exactly the same as they were 10, 20 years ago. If the team is winning they are fun. If the team is losing they can get ugly.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

can't wait for the next time Hiura K's in 2 straight AB's and the vultures are back out saying it looks like he's at the start of another cold stretch - if he would get 500 ABs Hiura might K 200 times but he'd hit 35 bombs to go with it.

Hiura cannot be starting games on the bench against RHP - they have to find ways to keep his bat in the lineup.

I mean, it’s not June. He’s been in there most games for a couple weeks now. He’s homering at a historic pace, until it dries up he probably will continue to be in there most days.

Not trying to be your daddy. Not sure why it needs to go to that, as I mostly appreciate your takes on the Brewers. Was just pointing out how calling the Cubs "lowly" doesn't exactly give the full picture.

I agree with this. Counsell is too blame for the backlash against Cutch. If he was being used the right way and letting Hiura play his proper role then there would be no issue having him around. When Cain left I felt that they needed a vet influence type so i was glad he was here. The problem is Counsell couldn't figure a way to make it all work.

Ehhh I disagree. There used to be a somewhat even amount of level headed people and crazy negative people. Now the negative is much more vocal than ever before.

He’s the biggest antagonizer here but I actually respect that he shows up every day even though I don’t agree with all the opinions

His I’m the only level headed deep baseball thinker schtick is laughable when I’m sure if he ran a baseball practice the players would get hurt falling down laughing

but that makes the game threads great

100% truth.

People talking about how they used to be better, blaming all the new posters, etc is getting old.  Anytime that people try and dictate to others how they should post, or be a fan, or whatever, there will be pushback, and it actually just makes it worse.

If people hate the game threads so badly, stay away from them rather than post about how bad they are, what does that do to improve the quality of what is being posted?

It's just ridiculous.

Just saw the replay on the Yelich out at the plate.

That was a bad send.

The left fielder in shallow left had the ball before Yelich hit 3rd base.

Especially with 1 out.

Terrible send.

Being more vertical with less movement allows Huira to cover more of the zone.

The pitch hit out was down and in and I doubt he could have gotten to that pitch before.

What he's done SHOULD cut down on the Ks. The intriguing thing is, it hasn't affected the power.

Not really - He didn't start tonight and probably would've sat till late if Rowdy didn't leave injured, didn't play on Saturday, got 1 garbage AB in a game against the Dodgers on wednesday, and didn't play on the 19th at Wrigley.  The week prior he rode pine more games than he appeared in.

Nobody on this forum could effectively run a baseball practice for mlb ball players. That's a weird place to take your comment and not fair at all...

Here’s a solution no one will want to hear. Just shutdown the in-game threads.

or maybe have a pessimistic  game thread and an optimistic game thread.

I think Dillard can be a little annoying but he just said something in the postgame show that I thought was clever. He said it was a “tale of two strike zones” tonight and it was “the best of strike zones and the worst of strike zones.” Anyone familiar with the Dickens classic will catch the reference.

Lots of regular posters don't post here anymore since the takeover.  Clientele has changed a bit for sure.

This is quite incredible and just so wrong. Where did I ever say "I'm the only level-headed baseball thinker." You won't find it, because I never said it. There are actually a lot of level-headed thinkers on here and it's the main reason why I decided to join this site in the first place. But what has become intolerable is people like you who blow up threads with your constant negative crap. For instance, I remember when you wanted to send Peralta down to AAA after two starts this year....

You’d be surprised at what some people actually do know
