Punting?

They dredged up a lefty to start the first game. That’s usually all it takes to silence the Brewers bats. 
 

ETA- the Giants are also playing Joc Peterson so that should be good for a couple of HRs.

Well yeah, a journeyman pitcher that will go an inning and give way to the Giants crappy bullpen in the first game. Not looking good for them.

My opinion is Counsell will shut him down before there is a chance for that.  Remember that no-hitter through 8 innings last year in Cleveland?

Counsell is extremely conservative with pitch count except for a strange little stretch before the All-Star break this season.
