Restaurant to be Named Later Finally Gets a Name

In other, non-baseball news....Hopefully it's a heck of a lot better than its immediate predecessor. The fact that Leinenkugel's is involved is encouraging.

I don't really know what a barrel yard is, or why one would put barrels out in a yard.  But anything is better than Restaurant To Be Named Later, so I approve.

I love any time a local company gets to be a focal point in a stadium. I love a good lite beer and hot dog…but local flare in stadiums is great.

The brewery and exclusive beers should be a hit…or shall I say, a grand slam. Ha…ha, ha.

How long was it RTBNL? The years are flying by for me. I can't even remember.

It opened in March 2020 when COVID started so was destined to fail.

Thanks. I knew it had been a few years.

Great name, great local sponsorship.  Hope that the menu is solid and priced appropriately for the average baseball fan.

The Brewers have turned me off in recent years with the fancifying of their ballpark food and the steep price increases.  Hoping that the new restaurant doesn't boost that even higher.

I'm sure the prices will continue skyward more than ever.

It doesn't bother me though. I eat before the games I go to (whether at home or tailgating) and bring a bag of peanuts and a couple of bottles of water with me and I'm good. I no longer drink alcohol so the temptation to pay exorbitant sums of money on beer is gone.

That's not to say I'm a total cheap a**. I'd just rather spend my money on good seats than food and drink.

What?

It seems to me like "Later" was the clear leader for this title.

More of a Night Club name, I guess.

I really liked the Restaurant To Be Named Later as it made some people annoyed over something really silly and dumb.

(Sing it with me)... I ate at the ballpark at a place with no name...

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Gotta love the clip art people waiting in line -- with two of them on their phones.  ?‍♀️

Plus hardly anyone is in Brewers gear.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Same with me, although I usually only make it to one or two games in a summer so I usually go ahead and splurge for one beer to have with the peanuts I brought along because it just hits the spot.

I'm fine with the workaround of not eating their food, but part of the ballpark experience, whether I'm a 20+ games a year fan or just a couple times is sampling the food onsite.  I've always enjoyed eating at whatever ballpark I've visited, though recently, the Brewers food experience has felt more like being price-gouged at an airport restaurant than what used to be a joyful experience.

You mean fancifying the food stands, not the actual food.

Because the food and the food options really aren’t that much better than before they blew $15mil or whatever on that renovation. Anyone that has gone to other stadiums knows the Brewers have some of the worst food at the ballpark. Honestly, of all the stadiums I have gone to, AmFam is an easily last place by miles. The only other place I can think of with such poor food is Dodger Stadium.

AmFam food gives such high school concession stand vibes. Cold nacho cheese and sausages that might have sat in an open container in the fridge since last season. If you are on the club level you can get treated to the upgraded hospital cafeteria quality food.

To be honest, I can get much better food at the T-Rats games.  Lots of variety there.

Questions are a burden.   And answers a prison for one's self.

Personally, if I am eating at the ballpark, I’d rather spend $18-$22 on a filling meal that tastes great versus $12 for nasty cheap garbage that probably leaves me still hungry.

When they hyped up that big renovation years ago I was hoping we were going to start having Kauffman Stadium level options…or at least a real grilled brat like the Chicago teams do.

But of course, I’m sure the profit margins on cheap cafeteria food is way higher instead of giving options to actually be proud of.
