Topa’s out of options right? Makes sense given that we have a backlog of relievers who can’t be optioned to AAA…

He has 2 options left according to Fangraphs. I’m guessing Brewers just think his arm is never going to get back to what it was after all the injuries.

I stand corrected. You’re probably right. I’ll take a guy with a potential 70-grade slider anytime for Topa.

This seems like a steal for us. Am I missing anything other than his age? Control i guess?

Even though Topa hasn't pitched much in the majors he isn't exactly young at 32, appears like decent young pitcher for him.

This is definitely one of those, trade offer was so good you had to accept it. 

A Ball numbers and  height on the Freddy Peralta similarity line.  6Hits/9  4BB/11Ks per 9.  I wonder if he's a 40man rule 5 protection require since he began in 2018.  Still about 2 years away.  (Checked he wasn't this offseason, but I would assume next the Brewers would need to add him)

Seattle just wants another option for their bullpen this year and is willing to give-up a nice prospect to get it.

The kid has that Strike out option just need to control the walks but seems we like pitchers with that potential

Likely a big nothing burger so it's whatever. Topa wasn't long for the team but the Mariners didn't give up anything significant here. Maybe Hernandez becomes a decent middle reliever down the line.

I am guessing we needed to do this to open a spot for Miley. Hopefully he can advance fast.

Sounds a bit and has a stat line similar to Cornielle. Hernandez was better last year, but is also a year older and a year closer to minor league free agency.
