I'm already Monty Burns hands envisioning Frelick leading off. Unleash the gazelles, I say! May they run rampant all over the diamond!

Maybe Counsell should move Turang and Wiemer to the top of the order.

Why? Yelich and Winker are proven OBP guys and are doing just fine there…

I've generally been on the pessimistic side of things going into this year and the O in general.  And I know it's just a few games (and game 1 was bad), but so far it seems to be a pleasant change to have more contact and speed after years of just nothing happening and tons of Ks.   Hopefully it holds true and is a noticeable improvement all year.

Also, to me the new rules on pitch clock is a big plus and major win for MLB.  Perhaps, the base changes weren't needed and might've been a step too far but we'll see.

Wiemer almost caught Turang at home on Winker’s hit.

Really not unusual when the runner on second has a good look at the ball and the runner on third is tagging up to make sure it isn’t going to be caught and wants to able to score if it is.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I can’t tell you how much this makes my heart happy scoring 5 runs in an inning without a home run or other team making an error

this is baseball

scoring bunches of runs without home runs involved is just fun to watch.

i would also like to say that i love home runs.

This team has the ability to score both ways … it’s been a while … this could be FUN 🙌🏼

This wave of young players coming up reminds me of the Fielder, Weeks, Hardy, Hart, Braun days. Maybe not quite the power of those guys but those were exciting times. I'm more than on board for that feeling again.
