So Peterson is interesting, awful ERA but has been a little unlucky

He leads with the slider to lefties, and although it's been hit hard this year, its usually a front door slider, which Yelich struggles with. However most lefties love that pitch down and in. He's back dooring it to right handers too often and getting hit, with all the swings and misses coming when he buries it down and inside, out of zone.

The fastballs have been to center cut, and have been mashed when he's left them there, barely generating any swing and miss. His four seamer is really quite flat movement wise, so again, Joey, unload please.

Could be a good pitcher for Adames, Urias and Anderson to find some rhythm against

He has 5.6 walks per nine at AAA, and a 1.74 WHIP before getting sent down. He's still striking guys out but has lost almost all control of the fastball in zone, leading to expected slugging percentages over .500 on his four seamer and sinker, as well as the slider (the sinker being particularly hittable)

So what you're saying is that he's going to pitch a complete game shutout against us?

New York Times has a really nice piece about Julio Teheran.  I post a link, but I’m in my truck. And it would probably lead you to a pay wall anyway. But it’s pretty cool so look for it.

Pardon the grammar, I dictated this

Questions are a burden.   And answers a prison for one's self.

Thanks for mentioning the article, it did ask for an e-mail but no payment.

Teheran was a different pitcher back then but he has had a lot of success against the Mets.

Peterson is one of the few LHP starters that the Brewers have roughed up this year. They got him for 5 runs in 4 IP in that opening series at AFF.

Is there a rain delay?

I turned on the game and they were showing a replay of last night’s first inning.

Sigh

They pretty much all do.  If the theory yesterday was they just aren't getting enough chances with RISP, the last two days has shown it really doesn't matter.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

I can’t understand why Miller swung at the first pitch after Peterson just walked 2 and should have walked Perkins too.

It was a good pitch to swing at right down the middle of the plate.  That should be an extra base hit pitch there.  It was a strike regardless so swinging at a strike in the strike zone should always happen.  This team doesn’t have a lot of good hitters when down in the count so they really need to be swinging when there is a pitch thrown in a hitters advantage.

Well, Teheran is pitching so a shutout is a mortal lock.
