Interesting move with Peguero here...Chafin and/or Uribe must have passed him up in the pecking order.

I think it’s simply that they were getting Peguero ready when the score was 5-1 and since he was warmed up they brought him in for an inning.

He should never be sitting for anybody. Completely neutral splits in the minors so no reason for it whatsoever.

Fact. That's what happens when you question Counsell though. It's nonsense.

2019 Keston Hiura. Thankfully, their ability to make contact is night and day.

Hiura was fun but I don’t believe he was as complete a hitter as Frelick

He certainly didn’t offer anything other than his bat & that was unfortunately short-lived

The twisting yourself into a pretzel explanation of why Frelick needs to eased into the lineup is still wild to me. Dude is best young hitting prospect since Braun and he is watching Wiemer the other night.

You were told why. For as good as Frelick has been, Wiemer sports an OPS of .931 against LHP, and we faced a LHP that night....

I'm pretty sure they don't intend to use Frelick as a purely platoon bat, so I wouldn't make much of it.

Completely different mechanics and approach.

Wilson hasn't pitched in a few days...can't say I like seeing both Peguero and Chafin tonight.

See what happens when Adames doesn't play? Seriously, I don't think there is a reason I'd bring him back next year unless he finishes the season on a heater (which I doubt).

Is there such a thing as line-up chemistry?

Nah. I'm going to call out nonsensical stuff like benching your second best player when you are starved for offense. Your explanation doesn't make it better. At all. Keep in mind there are three outfielders and a dh. He has to be in one of those spots every night.

One mistake away from a Perfecto

Wonder what they would have done with Freddy if that was the case. I'm sure he would have gotten the 8th but who knows about the 9th.

Frelick slugging 545

That’ll play.  Makes me wish we had this pitching staff with next year’s club bringing on Black and Chourio with a healthy Mitchell.  That might just be enough to make the brain trust hang on to Burnes this offseason.  My goodness, the fights we’ll have on here…

Payamps or Devin? Back when Burnes through the nono CC brought in Hader for the 9th. It was a 3 run game though

Rock says with Burnes, Woodruff, and Peralta, the Brewers could do damage in the postseason.

What madness.

They have shown the last 3 days that they can contain two of. the teams with worse offenses than the Brewers. And yes I know the Rockies have a slightly higher RPG mark than the Brewers but when you include the Coors Field factor and the Rockies deadline deals it’s a terrible offense.

After seeing what the Orioles did with an announcer that had the audacity to point out how poorly the Orioles have been against the Rays the last few years before this season, the Brewers crew is going to gush over whatever they can.

Maybe he comes out for the 8th but at 94 pitches to end the 7th so the 8th would have been it.  I doubt he would of gotten through the 8th on anything less than 110 pitches.
