Get ready for this board to explode if Flexen pitches a gem and the Rockies win the series.

Unfortunately, losing series to the dreg teams of MLB seems to be what this Brewers team is most consistent at...hope they turn the page and get a W this afternoon!

They have seemed to have played oddly bad against a number of really bad teams, but really well against the middle tier teams. I think the Braves are the only really good team to have dominated them. The Rays as well, but its an odd pattern so far.

Guessing Santana is still out with being sick...and the cascading effect of giving Yelich a day off in the field to DH leads to multiple offensive liabilities being inserted into the lineup.

Not having a primary DH on this roster is a huge problem for how this roster is constructed to score runs consistently - it prevents Yelich and Contreras from getting actual days off to keep a competent bat in the lineup when they DH and in turn weaken offensive production at other primary positions.

The focus on a roster built solely for run prevention cuts both ways, unfortunately.

As it probably should...Flexen is likely the worst SP they will face all year.

Small market teams can rarely have it all!

Come on, MLB!

Be fair!

I guess CC has Adames #5 because he hopes to see power with his team-leading 17 homers. I hope we don't see more strikeouts instead. He's up there with the league leaders in that category.

They were also beaten up pretty badly by the Giants (2-5) and DBacks (2-4).

Their only really strong showing against an NL playoff contender is the 10-3 against the Reds.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

That is a bit of a head-scratcher.  I'd have thougt he'd be at least 7th

Brewers have 5 or 6 guys that should be hitting 7th or later.

And he promptly mows down the side in bottom 1.

Flexen must be thinking how lucky he is to be facing this lineup.

Although Houser probably is too. Colorado's bottom half is pretty putrid.

I get the feeling in order to win today we are going to need an absolute gem from Houser.

6 up, 6 down, 1 ball so far. On pace for a 72 pitch CGSO.
