Anyone who had any hope for this team to break out and have an average offense (or even slightly below) this year must come to grips that it’s just not gonna happen.  With a team OPS of 0.686, the lowest in the NL, only 3 AL teams, the CWS (0.680) Detroit (0.678) and Oakland (0.665) are lower.  Their team OPS+ is 87. Only 2 teams have made the playoffs with an OPS+ that low in the past 50 YEARS, excluding 2020.

As far as bringing up Hiura from Nashville, the FO must have lost all confidence in him after 2022 to not even to give this guy a chance with as BAD an offense that this team has. They must be so stubborn in their opinion they will never change it.

So, what you are saying is that if the Brewers make the World Series, they would be favored against Chicago, Detroit, or Oakland. I'll take it!

If Sal Frelick is going to continue to get on base at a near .400 clip, time for him to hit in front of someone not named Willy Adames.  Someone who can actually put the ball in play.

Two things …

1. Like all of you - I love the Milwaukee Brewers

2. Our offense is disgusting

Last night’s 1-0 loss is evidence that our world-class starting pitchers have zero room for error

As soon as we give up a run - the game is over

(I’m aware Payamps gave up the run … so I guess Burnes’s mistake was not throwing a complete game in under 100 pitches)

One more thing …

I’m still happy that the FO didn’t trade away our top prospects to add “a quality bat” at the deadline

It would take more than one to offset this pathetic offense

I live in DFW & I will watch the weekend series on TV

I can’t bear paying for tickets & parking & food to sit in 100+ degree weather in hopes that these hitters come alive

While an avid 54-year fanatic … I’m embarrassed to be a Brewers fan with their inability to hit the ball

I’m equally frustrated by Counsell’s stubbornness to keep batting Adames high in the order

I will continue to hope that we scratch out enough wins to somehow win this weak NL Central division, but I can’t imagine winning a playoff series against any of the opponents we would face

I'm ready for football - even though I anticipate the Packers will be similar to this year’s Brew Crew … disappointing

Didn't they get a roof for their new ballpark so you wouldn't have to sit in the 100+ degree temps?

But I hear ya. I sure hope someone like Adames feels as embarrassed as we all are watching him swing the bat.

That’s actually one of the lesser lineups they can put together.

I’m not very familiar with Texas. Who’s missing from their lineup?

Tellez not in the Sounds' lineup. If I had to guess, he'll be in the lineup tonight.

Facing a lefty so doubt it.

That's right. I forgot about the lefty. But he's getting activated either today or tomorrow.

I wouldn't call it a lesser lineup but Josh Jung is on the IL, Duran is out of the lineup and plays outfield, SS, DH.

And Taveras. It's definitely one of their "lesser" lineups compared to what they've been throwing out there this year.

Yeah when,I saw Rowdy out of the lineup for Nashville I assumed it meant he was being activated tomorrow.

Even with Jung out their top 6 hitters all have OPS over .800 and Martinez, playing CF for Taveras, has an OPS of .908 in his first 6 games with the Rangers.

Like the Braves, no real soft spots.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I think it's safe to say by now that the prospect evaluators (Eric Longenhagen in particular) missed the mark re. Sal Frelick's defense. 75th percentile in arm strength, 3 DRS, 4 OAA in 184 OF innings,

He was born to be a lead off hitter.

He has everything you would want in a lead-off hitter

Man it would be fun to be able to watch a team like that
