What a strange road trip this was to go 3-0, 0-3, then 3-0. What looked like a disaster in the making turns out to be a damn good 6-3 trip.

I almost had a hard time thinking of this as a 9 game road trip.

 

With the off days on both ends of the White Sox series where they can bus in on Friday, and face a bad team, I was more  focused on the 6 games against LA and Texas. Coming back to go 3-3 in those 6 was great.

The issue with Megill is being able to command an offspeed pitch.  Doesn't throw his slider/curve for strikes often enough.  Hitters then sit on the fastball.  Need to get him in the lab this offseason.

Black has been slumping for a few weeks now but I would love to see him get hot and get the call. His on-base skills and speed would fit in nicely with Frelick and the rest of the young guys.
