Pitchers know they just have to get it in the zone and chances are high he won't do anything with it.

Then why is he getting paid to play baseball.     Everyone of us could do that for crying out loud.      This is silly.

Extra batting practice? Working harder with the coaches? Learning how to hit with two strikes. Some of this is on him.

We can't assume that he isn't. He just isn't any good. Brewers can see that and choose to play him anyway. They are convinced he adds something with his D.

I would do it for a lot less $

His mechanics blow.  He needs to go back to the minors and get that fixed.

I know one thing.    I could at least bunt.    I’m not too proud

Doubtful you would probably whiff at it.  These aren't 90 MPH straight as an arrow fastballs that you saw in whatever baseball you did play.

A lot of great hitters have said the most difficult thing a player can do is put down a bunt.  It looks easy but it is one of the hardest things to do as a batter especially at the MLB level.  The pitches just have more movement and velocity making it hard to get a bunt down.

I'm guessing most of us Little League-HS BB warriors would be diving out of the way of a MLB curveball or cutter.  There is a LOT of movement and bunting is not an easy task at the MLB level... plus we know better now not to.

Am I remembering correctly there is a control advantage if Weimer had gone down for a few weeks too.    Not that its huge as he's not some mega prospect but still.  It seems sending down for 3 weeks to try to clean up the swing along with gaining that would've made sense.  Bring him back up at end of year for D subs and/or pinch running if you want.    Probably a AAAA type guy out there to easily grab to cover a few weeks and be passable.

But you'd be terrible on defense, which he is not.

For people who have seen more of the games than me.    When was the last time he made a decent play on defense.   Taken a hit away etc.     if all he is doing is catching routine fly balls etc then this doesn’t even fly either.        For this to even be an argument he needs to at least be taking away a legit hit every game and probably more to play his bat.    I bet $10 that’s not happening      Find someone else

He's made some good plays. He's got a lot of range out there and a strong arm.

Nope it isn’t that hard.     But I don’t want to get into too much.    Lets just leave it at that

Can you tell me the last time when though?     I’m not being argumentative.    Just asking.     Of course I’ve seen him make great plays.   That was a while ago

Can we only pitch Elvis after 3 days rest?

I wonder how tired he is this season?  This year, he has had 62 appearances (MLB+MiLB).  Last year was 52.  Less previous to that.
