If the Brewers do face the DBacks, it will be interesting to see what Arizona does, since Gallen pitched last night and Kelly goes tonight. They would both need to pitch on short rest if brought in for G1 & G2, but would be on normal rest for G2 & G3 if necessary.

Any word on if that Monday game is played if it just impacts seeding? Would also like to avoid the Diamondbacks if possible. That Astros/Diamondbacks series is huge, will impact both leagues.

I think it would have to be played if Miami could take the 5 seed by winning that game.

If the Marlins and Mets game needs to be finished, what is the least amount of players the Mets need in order to play?  Do they need the whole 28 man roster to show up at the park or can they just have enough put a team on the field if it goes to extras?

I believe it was suspended still in the top of the 9th, so the would need the 8 fielders and any pitcher they feel can finish the inning, then if they really don't care they just need the next 3 up to "swing" 3x a piece to end the game.  Really just depends on how much they care.  Mlb will obviously want them to at least look like they care.

So Marlins clinch with a win. Looks like Reds are going to lose so they're eliminated. If Cubs win and Diamondbacks lose, Cubs would be one back with one to play? Do I have that right?

Anyone know who has tiebreaker? Could we still end up with the stupid Cubs??

Yeah. Only reason Cubs were alive coming into today was because of the suspended game.

But, diamondbacks, if they win, would be one game up on cubs going into Sunday. If cubs win again and dbacks lose wouldn't they be tied?

It's at Citi Field.  All the mets will be there anyway to clean out their lockers so it won't be a huge imposition to suit up one more time.

The Cubs don’t own a tiebreaker against anyone.  So they are eliminated.

Actually if they win tomorrow, they'd have the tiebreaker against us. 😄Problem is, they're so far back from 1st place they can't see it due to the curveture of the earth.

If they win the season series & PJ Fleck was their manager, they'd put up a banner stating it.

The Milwaukee Brewers and Philadelphia Phillies will host the wild card round.
If Arizona finishes ahead of Miami, it will head to Philadelphia. Otherwise, the D-backs will travel to Milwaukee.
The DBacks will probably play all there 2nd string players today to face the Brewers is my guess.

Perhaps this was discussed elsewhere, but I could not find it.  The playoff game times have not been determined yet. In the game broadcast last night, BA stated that his sources were telling him that they would be evening games.  I think he also stated a day/time when the official game times would be released.  However, if he did give a day/time for the release of game times, I missed it.  Did anyone else catch that.  I'm hoping that if the Miami/AZ seeding situation does not get resolved today that this doesn't mean that they will have to wait until Miami completes the Mets game tomorrow in order to release game times.

Hey, MLB, people have lives, jobs,  responsibilities.  You know who the home teams for each WC series, you should be able to release game times without having to know who is playing who. This shouldn't be that hard at this point.

Thanks for that link!  Hopefully that is true.  Anyone know if a time/day has been announced for when they will officially announce the game start times?

Yep…..looking at the lineups neither the Marlins or the Dbacks tried to win today.

Not sure what possibly could be holding up official announcement of game times at this point?? Less than 48 hours. 🤨

Advanced listings have two evening games on both days, each starting at 6 pm CT,  one on ESPN, the other on ESPN2
