Bummer for Elvis.

After a rough July (6.39 ERA over 12.2 IP) he'd been pitching pretty decent again of late with a 2.41 ERA over his last 18.2 IP since August 1st.

Minimum IL stint would have Elvis eligible to pitch in the wild card round. Have to hope this is just precautionary and he will be good to go for the playoffs.

It will be interesting if Teheran can recapture the magic he found this year... Both he and Rea have been pretty decent finds.

Hopefully, Elvis is just a means to give him a break.  He topped his career high innings this year.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

He could be available during the Cubs' series if it's a minimum IL stint.

Hopefully that's the case and this is our "Devin punching a wall" injury event.

15 day minimum IL stint for pitchers, so earliest he could be activated is October 2nd.

Teheran can be used as a multi inning reliever these next few games and then hopefully the Cubs series is meaningless to the Brewers and he can pitch the final Saturday or Sunday.

Swelling in the elbow doesn't seem precautionary but we'll see.

It was in the case of Adrian Houser. Exact terminology they used.

Poor Colin Rea, stuck in the AAA-Majors revolving door. "Thanks for the solid start, that will be all."

He knew what he signed up for…….I doubt he has many complaints……every team needs guys like him……

Shoot. You're right.

Got me as well. I had completely forgotten it was 15 days. Hopefully it's just a precautionary issue.

Thank God Uribe and Megill have stepped up.
