unbelievable that marlins didn’t get that game in.      This is why you play afternoon games on a getaway day.     That was pure garbage from the Mets from game one that series

And now they have to go to Pittsburgh, the rainout champion of the world.

Okay, so let's say D-backs get swept by Houston, Marlins take two in PGH (and finish off the Mets), Cubs go 2-1, and the Reds go to STL and sweep the Cards. COULD HAPPEN! Four teams at 84-78. Two wild card spots. Love it. All of them using their starters and bullpen till the last day. The only thing better would be if the Cubs were 1-2 and missed out completely.

Someone smarter than me (or someone with better Google skills), tell me, which two teams get in if it goes down like this? Thanks.

Scenario: D-backs, Cubs, Marlins, Reds tie
Result: Marlins and Reds IN; D-backs and Cubs OUT

Thank you. That would be great. Any indication who would be #6? Can you tell me where you got that so I don't have to bother you?

It was. Here's a good run-down of events and decisions.

Let's sweep these bums out of the playoffs.

I don't know. As much as I want to eliminate these losers, I won't be that bummed if we lose because I don't want any of our potential opponents to clinch before Saturday. Make them burn through their starters and relievers.

Hey, this could be Rea's final appearance with the Brewers in 2023, so let's give him a nice hand. Heck of a job filling in this season.

Could be his final appearance period.

MLBTR reported Colin has language in his contract which allows him to reach free agency after the season.

Whatever happens, I hope he ends up in a good place with a few $$ in his pocket. He's done well for us.

He was appreciably better than Jason Alexander and Chi Chi were for us last year when our starting pitchers went down. A major difference in the opposite season outcomes. Heck of a job, indeed.

I'd imagine we'll see Devin tonight regardless of whether we get a lead in the 9th. He needs work, having only pitched once in the last 12 days.

While he's among the league leaders in appearances, it would also be nice to get Hoby Milner one more inning before the postseason, too.

Am I supposed to root for us to lose 1 more game than the marlins this weekend?  I want them to play that last inning from yesterday and then play us.  I don't want to root for the cubs though.

If I was a Marlins fan I like Rea in this spot. This will likely be his last chance to show what he can do before heading into free agency, want to leave on a high note and get a guaranteed contract.

It could be tonight, but my guess is Saturday. I could see all your primary BP guys get one inning that day. Then two days off, then playoffs.

Also hoping Peguero is good to go when his IL stint ends.

Can you imagine the mindset in the Mets clubhouse right now? Disappointing season, can't wait for the final out on Sunday so they can get outta town, and now they may have to stick around until Monday to finish 1 inning...........or, tie up the game & play another 1, 2,or 3.

Are the starters from Saturday & Sunday allowed to leave early & get a jump on everyone else?

Cardboard cutouts in the stands?😄
