Ha... my Father-in-law did the same, only he was right... they were there for 3k

Dad and I also tried to guess and got tickets.  We were pretty close, were there for #2,999 and he had a long out to the CF warning track later in the game.  #3000 was really close to being a HR.

edit: I mean to say, he was really close to having a HR that would have been #3000.

I can't watch or listen but see that Yelich left the game. What happened???

Man, I hope he isn’t injured  … I’m already sick of the injury bug

Far too many Brewers players - including prospects - have been injured

Fun memory - my wife & I tried to guess when Robin Yount (my all-time favorite player) would get his 3000th hit … we missed it by one game, but we saw hit # 3001 at Camden Yards on 9/12/92. Jaime Navarro pitched a complete game shutout & the Brewers won 5-0. My wife was pregnant with our first child Josiah who turns 31 on 4/19 (Molitor & Yount Day).  That is my only trip to Baltimore. What a beautiful ballpark.

A couple of weeks before that game I looked at the schedule and saw that the Brewers had a long road trip after. I thought Yount might be reaching 3000 about then and if he didn’t he’d probably get it on the road trip.

I worked for a banking organization that had about 40 season tickets that they let employees request if they weren’t being used by anyone to entertain customers. So, I put in for 4 and got some box seats not far behind the Brewers dugout.

About a week before it didn’t look he’d be getting to 3000 by then, but he suddenly got 7 hits in 4 days and was only 3 away going into a Labor Day game against the Indians. So, I went to that game where he got 2998, then again the next night where he got 2999 in the first inning, but went hitless the rest of the game.

So I went to the next game with 3 work colleagues and,, after a rain delay and two hitless ABs,  we had great seats for the big moment.

And it wasn’t long before that (maybe the year before) that we saw Nolan Ryan get his 300th win against the Brewers.

Peralta is only at 82 or 83 pitches. Do we bring him in for the 7th?

It would be the 6th…..I think they will…..
