Dunn in the lineup again, batting 5th.  I don't understand Murphy's obsession with him.  He's a fringe player who had a hot week and wouldn't have even been on the roster had Mitchell not gotten hurt.  Ortiz is a top prospect, he should be playing 3B everyday.

I feel like Ortiz has a great approach and should hit righties fine and there isn't the need for this platoon. A few starts here or there for Dunn would be fine but Dunn has 6 more PA's than Ortiz and that doesn't seem right since Ortiz his hitting .100 points higher (.150 on base) and is regarded as a better defender.

Same with Bauers getting the same ab's as Ortiz. Not that Ortiz would play 1st but our better bats need to play more than Dun , Bauers, and Sanchez at this point.

Along with the quality of his ABs, the underlined should (in my mind) clinch it. Dunn has been pretty good defensively. Ortiz is better.

I can see Bauers, to a point. I think he's a better hitter than he's shown & he clearly has saved our brussel sprouts more than once this season with the glove. And with no clear-cut DH you're going to see Hoskins fill that role sometimes.

Watching Hall a few times, the missing 3-4 MPH he supposedly has on his fastball makes a big difference. Looking forward to him finding that as it should really help him work the breaking ball off it (provided he gets more 2-strike counts).

Pretty tough 2-3-4 RH gauntlet for him to work through today.

Ortiz's defense has been much worse actually and he may actually be the worst defender on the team up to this point. Have you not seen some of the balls he's air mailed over to first base?

That’s why teams don’t bunt anymore. Had Turang pushed it to the first base side it’s likely bases Loaded with nobody out.  Instead he makes a mistake and bunts it up third base side they likely get nothing from two on and nobody out

Don't bunt guys. Ran yourself out of an inning. With a pretty hot hitter so far this year nonetheless. C'mon. There's a reason it's a dying play.

Bunting to third is the right way to do it. But you have to bunt hard enough to make the 3B field it.

I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

It seemed to work for the Cardinals.

He just can't get that fastball past anyone and can't locate well enough overall. Just isn't much to like about him thus far.

And now he can't even figure out when to field a bunt or not.

I'm not quite ready to pull the plug on the Hall experiment yet, but a couple more starts like he's given would be enough for me to send him back to the pen. You can't trot out a 7+ ERA every 5th day and expect to contend.
