Tigers announcers are just in awe of this offense

Speaking of the Tigers announcers, I feel bad for Jason Benetti moving from Steve Stone to Kirk Gibson as color man.

Gibson’s illness really limits the banter that Benetti seems to enjoy.

A feast or famine offense can do that

Adames is the poster child of feast and famine. His hot streaks are great but his current one for 17 is not.

Must not be a Brewers fan.

It's nice seeing the outside perspective of things.  It's rare to see teams string together hits like this these days and the Brewers have been able to do it all year.

Hard to beat Benetti and Stone as a duo. The White Sox know how to hire announcers, which is sort of too bad because they don't know how to do much else.

He still is. He's just having a heck of a game tonight. When he starts slumping again people will be calling for his benching again

There are 122 players with at least 250 PAs in the outfield since the start of last year.

Despite only ranking 98th with 358 PAs and 89th with a 90 wRC+, Perkins 2.0 WAR comes in at 53rd making his production comfortably starter level.

His +15 DRS / +13 OAA each rank 7th among OF over that stretch.

I remember Howser having one against the Cardinals a couple of years ago.

Burnes could have had a complete game no hitter last year if the Brewers could have managed a run.

Follow up question. How many complete games are there this year in all of baseball so far?

And then he died.   Starting pitchers have evolved into bees.   But instead of dying after saving the hive with their sting, the arm just rips off and pulls out their internal organs if they actually pitch nine innings in a row

That one I have no clue on. I'd guess less than 10. Probably like 8 or something like that.

Give Contreras a few innings off tonight.

I would have pulled him after he didn't run on that GIDP

Well, at least the complaints about the offense can stop for a bit for all the "what have you done for me lately" people. Despite being a top 5 offense by all the major metrics.

Baseball (particularly Brewer baseball).
