Pretty remarkable that 76 games into the season the Brewers have only lost back to back games seven times.

They are 3-4 to this point in the third game following those back to back losses.

Really need to get one out of these two.

Getting swept would really make the road trip an ugly one.

I thought you were going to say Onions or Garlic at first.  I agree we can't get swept. But... The Cubs still suck!

Also, since Brewer's are weak at 1st base but Pete Alonso arises?  But still only a .250 hitter, for a semi full of cash.

Burleson may be a butcher in the field but he provides power that the Brewers don’t get from their OF. A 2 run and 3 run HR today.

After the Brewers beat the Cards for the 6th straight time on the day before Mother’s Day, who would have guessed that the Redbirds would have the best record in the NL over the next 6 weeks.

I'm not a big fan of Frelick hitting 5th either. But if we insist on the same top 3 then the options are limited. And for those who say "Ortiz", if they want to hit him in a more prominent spot then put Ortiz between Turang & Yelich and hit Contreras 4th & Adames 5th. I know Murphy remembers the early season, when the bottom 3rd of the order was helping create big innings, and I think that might have something to do with him liking Ortiz down there. But it's time to get him the extra AB. There would be another possible option if not for Black coming up here & hitting .185.

Unless Rodriguez gives us some length I have a funny feeling Junis is following him today.

I kind of assumed that was the plan all along; to start getting Junis ready to replace Rodriguez in the rotation. I guess we'll see for sure soon enough.

Every NL Central team has won (Cubs, Cards, Pirates) or is winning (Reds), so today would be a great day for a W!

At least the Reds lost.

The Cardinals are playing well and are chipping away.

Not sure what was up with that steal attempt but it looked like Turang was looking in and not running.

Yeah, I'm not sure if that was supposed to be a hit-and-run or what. It just looked odd.

I’ve enjoyed watching Joey Ortiz acclimate to 3B over the first half of the season

Early on, he was out of sync - now he is exceptional defensively both fielding & throwing to 1B

Am I trippin’ or does this broadcast seem a little dark? Something just seems off?

Yes lots of shadows for being so early on the west coast. Hoskins needs to get going.

I subscribe to Ballys AND mlb.tv and YouTube tv.  Cannot get the game because the local FOX station is playing Braves-Yankees. Dumb,

Sigh. Is this going to be another crappy zone?

Even the announcers mentioned that.
