I remember going into the Misiorowski signing period thinking we had so much money to sign guys, and then we dumped a huge amount on him. Wouldn't be surprised if Levonas was that guy.

These kinds of drafts are always immediate head shakers for me but juggling money has become such a big part of it and the Brewers have been very active (and successful) doing just that.

I'm looking for a couple of the above mentioned or other hard to sign prospects to come to us before the day is over.

RHP John Holobetz, Old Dominion (played a season at Radford). MLB had absolutely zero info on him. LOL.

Unless there’s some late surprises, I feel like this is gonna be a common theme lol

Woodward in 4th last year was pretty similar. Not much out there on him at all. I have a feeling he has natural ability to really spin his stuff though and has projection.

The guy on mlb tv during the live draft online said Holobetz had three pitches at 94 mph unless I heard wrong (which seems likely ).   But if true, that’s a great pick.

Three different pitches at 94 MPH or three pitches ever hit 94?

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Meccage and Levonas must cost a fortune if we’re spending much of Day 2 trying to save money.

Tate Kuehner (7th round) $72,500
Craig Yoho (8th round) $10,000
Mark Manfredi (9th round) $27,500
Morris Austin (10th round) $17,500

Pretty sure Woodward ($247,500 at #119) and Birchard ($322,500 at #155) were underslot last year on Day 2 as well.

Molina struck out 260 batters versus 100 walks over his three year collegiate career (199 IP).

First two years at Texas Tech before transferring to Arkansas.

Molina has a plus change-up - Low 80's fade and sink. Low 80's slider in there, apparently, but the highlights seem to show a curve (is that in addition?). Low 90's heater with good carry. Seems like another savvy low-velo Lefty for the vast pool they are building.

He has an uncanny resemblance, physically, to LHP Nate Peterson. Wild.

Some interesting HS names that still remain on the board:

William Schmidt (apparently told teams he's going to LSU)

Dax Whitney - big time helium pitcher out of Idaho

Garrett Shull - OF out of Oklahoma

Carson Wiggins - P out of Oklahoma

Sawyer Farr - SS out of Texas

Noah Franco - OF out of Florida

Tegan Kuhns - P out of Pennsylvania

Mason Russell  P out of Arizona

Duncan Marsten - P out of California

Jackson Barberi - P out of Georgia

All of the above guys were Top 100 draft guys by MLB Pipeline.  Wonder if we've got our sights on over-slot deals with any of them with an upcoming pick here?  We certainly should still have the money to do so, right?

If my very quick research is accurate, all of these HS names remain on the board.  I'll be a tad bit disappointed in this years draft class, if we don't at least try to over-slot sign one of these guys on day 3 tomorrow. Certainly feels like we should still have plenty of $$ left in the bonus pool to make a splash or two (or three) on Day 3 going after some of these remaining HS guys.  Obviously, you still want to feel good about your ability to sign them, but if I'm understanding the system correctly - if we don't end up signing them, we'll only take a $150K hit in our bonus pool on the third day if they go unsigned.
