Hardly playing, K-rate over 40%. Think I'd rather see Hicklen up and Hicklen can start against LHP in the OF so we don't need to see Mitchell or Frelick flail against LHP.

Its to not lose him for depth in case of injury later. Pretty sure the team is just as aware as us that he's redundant right now, but they're just 3 weeks away from when a 3rd catcher is standard especially for a tam with a good hitting C who DHs a lot.

I'm personally not seeing much that would lead a team to claim him if they didn't the first time around. And even then, I'd be fine with Mejia as backup to Contreras and Sanchez.
