This really is inexcusable from Murphy. Now you're costing your bullpen way more work. Nice job, dummy.

Wow… how often do you pull your closer before the save is blown? No problem with Murphy here.

Yea, I am not sure why he had Williams pitch the 9th to begin with. Why bring McGill back from the IL if not going to pitch him.

This ump is squeezing the hell of the Brewers this inning. That high pitch was called a strike call game

Are you watching the same game we all are? Please tell me you're not because it's clear he didn't have anything.

And now we have to play extras and burn up more bullpen—the bullpen which, by the way, is the essential piece to the playoff puzzle for us. Nice.

Shut up, Pat. You got a gift on Goldy, this could be over. You did this all.

Sanchez walked and who knows what Hoskins would have done on that 9th inning strike

When your closer has already been run into the ground and clearly can't find the strike zone. You don't manage him like ChatGPT would just because he's a "closer". He's still a human.

It was clear Williams had nothing left. It was a no brainer to pull him to not only win the game but keeping Williams health in mind.

Yes, and then we got a K back on Goldschmidt that also should have been a walk.

100% on Murphy. Devin is not a robot. He's been run into the ground lately, was run into the ground last night and was run into the ground again tonight.

He threw 17 pitches last night after throwing 10 pitches on Saturday.  That's not being run into the ground.

When he’s throwing 91 MPH fastballs, he’s got nothing left.  He’s just coming back from injury and pitched a long inning last night.

Pat all smug last night about a reporter asking why Megill couldn't pitch the 8th because he hasn't gone in awhile, but Devin can be run into the ground.

Got it. Great call, Murph. Thanks for this one.

Its not like Williams is coming back from a major injury and is still trying to get into a pitching groove...

Hey, Murphy screwed up. Big time. It's ok to point that out.

Hopefully Devin doesn't hit the IL tomorrow with some kind of injury.
