I’ll care about the Cubs once they’re the confirmed WC matchup. For now I don’t want the mental narrative for the offense to become that they are scuffling down the stretch. That seems like a bigger issue, they need some confidence.

Since Sunday the Brewers have had 6 innings with a free runner on second and have scored one run to pick up 3 losses that put a dent in their hopes of earning a bye. 
 

I have very little confidence that this offense is going to produce  against the best pitchers on playoff teams. 
 

Lost 5 of the last 7 against the Cardinals who I’ve heard all season are a terrible team.

One of the most frustrating losses of the year…….just maddening 

Cards score 3 runs…..2 on bases loaded walks with 2 outs in the first and then a dribbler up the middle scoring the ghost runner……and they win.

  They are an average team…..and the Brewers beat them 8 out of 13…….they also just went into New York and beat the Yanks………it’s a long season……stuff happens.
