I’ve read similar posts for a few weeks now … I have supported this idea all year

It was fun while it lasted but it’s past time to move on from Milner

Guaranteed to not lose 4 in a row for the whole season, after last night's win, too!

I hope I don't think of this post in 4 games after we play our last two regular season games and then our first two games of a best of three series in Milwaukee.

After all the hoopla in the off-season, we just matched our win total from last year.

Probably the biggest surprise in MLB this year

I like the guy a lot but if we have to get a late season injury it's probably the most replaceable position we have.

I just saw highlights of Friday's game (we lost cable and internet for 24 hours because of Helene).  How long has there been a rectangular hole on that wall in right field??  What in the hell is it for?  If Sal is seriously injured the morons who put that there should be fired.

Garrett Mitchell is a good replacement. But do we have any Idea who we may play in the playoffs yet? Guess we just need to keep winning and let the cards fall where they may.

It looked like some kind of vent.

The problem w/losing Frelick (if that's the case) is you had four really good OFs, which gives you some flexibility. If you want to hit for Mitchell or Frelick vs a tough LHP you can still be strong defensively. And make no mistake, there could be times next month where you might want to do that, even though Mitchell seems to be getting better vs lefties. Hoping for the best, but if Frelick is shelved it's going to be interesting to see what they do about replacing his spot. Hicklen underwhelmed. Capra has played a bit of OF, as has Miller. Maybe we see Black yet again.

It's always been there. It's a "window" from the tunnels beneath the stadium to see the field. The ground crew used it during games. The door is solid so there was no other way to know when it was time to come out and clean up the field between innings. The ballpark was first built without TVs everywhere (which is what they probably use now). There isn't much use as there used to be since you can only see the outfield from that vantage point.

The poster previously known as Robin19, now @RFCoder

EA Sports...It's in the game...until we arbitrarily decide to shut off the server.

Tyler Black is not an outfielder neither is Miller. But https://www.milb.com/player/carlos-d-rodriguez-677578

Ok.  I wondered why there would be a window there and I never really noticed it before.  If they aren't using it now for its original purpose perhaps they should fix that so another player doesn't get hurt in the future.

Garret Mitchell 2024 ops- 0.818

Frelick 2024 ops - 0.655

Both have roughly the same WAR for the season...it's just that Frelick had about 80 more games played to accumulate that total.

Frelick is a winning player, but Mitchell is better - much better.
