BA going more nuts on that Aaron Judge homer in Cleveland more than I heard him ever go nuts for a Brewers bomb!

That is your opinion, of course, but to me, it's not close to a true statement.  Brian has gone nuts plenty of times for Brewers home runs.  These dingers by the Yankees are just that much more astounding due to playoffs, 8th inning, come-from-behind, against an absolute beast of a dominant closer.

I can think of several Ryan Braun bombs that BA sounded like he was ready to jump out of the press box to join the team on the field.

Regardless, if you feel that this was more nuts than normal . . . well, you might be right, but don't say that he was never nuts for the Brewers.

I can't envision Bob Uecker doing the "Get up, get up, get out of here!" thunderous homerun call for another team besides the Brewers.

Meanwhile, BA does his homerun schtick just as loud if not louder for other teams, even the big-market-advantaged-teams.

I want a homer like Uecker calling my games for the Brewers, not a sellout.

I want a guy who genuinely roots for his favorite team on the broadcast, not a guy who will root for another team just as lustily for either the buck or because he likes other teams just as much or both.

Bob Uecker did plenty of national games in the 70s, 80s and 90s, including the playoffs and World Series, guess he's a sellout too according to your criteria.

So when someone is so good at their job that they have the opportunity to be on a national stage, they're a sellout? He should have declined out of pure love for Milwaukee? In what other field would someone get criticized for advancing their career?

This is an astoundingly bad take.

BA is an absolutely outstanding announcer. That’s why he’s in such great demand nationally. He’s definitely shown his loyalty when he says that he will keep calling Brewers games as long as the organization wants him. At the same time I would prefer to have an announcer who is in the booth for our team almost every game during the year. Maybe it's time to let him go to bigger pastures, while we find someone who is Our Guy.

He also lives in the Milwaukee area. I mean...it is just a crazy take. I guess anyone that takes a job outside of Wisconsin isn't a Wisconsin sports fan anymore.

I'm a little surprised at the strong feelings shared here.

BA has been a great Brewers announcer for a long time. So good, that he's quickly earning a lot of national sports broadcasts. I, too, have noticed that his calls are a little more out-of-touch with the team than in earlier seasons. I think this makes sense considering his schedule, so it doesn't offend me.

I wish him well, and I will always think of him as "one of ours," but I think the time has come for all parties to move on. A fresh, young team calls for a fresh, young play-by-play announcer (so long as they are excellent :)

I'm one of those that likes the variety. And I will always prefer color commentators to err on the side of goofy and humorous to the side of serious and dour. One of the great announcers of the era, Jason Benetti, is incredible for the Tigers --- and he HAS to be, because Kirk Gibson has to be the worst commentator of the era.

For those that are upset that BA shows too much “ enthusiasm “ when the other team hits a big homer…….here is the call of the Yankees John Sterling on Noel’s game tying blast……..

I thought John Sterling retired.

He did but decided he missed it and wanted one more playoff run.  I guess he will be done done after the post-season.

Agreed, it seems like folks are asking for a return to a Daron Sutton-type announcer.

BA's no worse than #3 all-time in terms of Wisconsin sports announcers. He can call as many games as he wants for as long as he wants.

I would very much like to buy him a beer.

He would show his loyalty by insisting on Spotted Cow.  If he wants Yuengling, then we know he is a traitor.

Why can't the Brewers front office be smart and sign a free agent superstar like the Yankees do in Juan Soto?

Why can't the Brewers front office be smart and sign a free agent superstar like the Dodgers do in Ohtani?

Why can't the Brewers front office be smart and retain an all-star pitcher like the Dodgers do in Kershaw?

What is that you tell me?  The MLB is crooked and geared and tilted towards big market teams?  How could any professional sports league get away with such a thing?  Fans and media would be all over it and not allow themselves to be hooked into such unfairness?

As far as BA is concerned, who cares?  Cheer for those big-market, unfairly advantaged teams on these national broadcasts like it's no big deal!
