That is unacceptable.

Can you imagine if it was the Cubs logo on the Milwaukee Brewers Talk forum instead?

I think the Chicago Bears are the perfect representative of April Fool's day. 😂

If anyone's brave enough deal with the whether tonight a rare lunar eclipse is taking place. Mercury's orbit puts it between the Earth and moon. This only even happens 3000 thousand years or so.

The Molitor lot used to be my favorite lot but ruined it with the separate ride share section occupying a number of parking space and also an exit. Now it takes too long to exit and everything funnel sto.

Anyone else have the amount of spam they're getting go nuts the last month?

I keep tweaking my filter and blacklisting domains as fast as they pop up but every damn day there's another dozen.

Since they probably have AI generating this crap how about we have a another AI combating it?

Maybe we are destined for skynet to take over.

It is probably because your email got leaked somewhere in a data breach.  Use this to see if your email has been compromised https://haveibeenpwned.com.

Quite the opposite, actually.

I use Outlook online with an old Hotmail account for buying anything online (including utilities, travel, etc.) and have a separate Gmail account for professional/family/friends.  I used to get a ton on the Hotmail account, but not since the beginning of the year.  Outlook online is easy to mark as phishing/spam, and Microsoft must be applying AI to emails marked as phishing because I get a lot less than I used to.

The home opener was definitely a cluster in the Molitor lot (which has been our lot going back to the County Stadium era).  About the front/southernmost third of the lot is now fenced off and designated for ride share business.  The parking lot map (here) makes it look less disruptive than it is.

For fans who park in the lot, besides the hassle of being no closer than about row 10, the only way to walk out of the lot now is the walkway closer to the interstate; and as Outlander pointed out, the only way to exit now is at the rear (northernmost end) of the lot.  Additionally, at the home opener, the (lone) walkway to get back to parked cars was also blocked with people waiting for their rideshare rides .  Those rides were probably delayed by the overall gridlock around the stadium.

The specific gridlock of people standing in the walkway was improved by later in the first homestand when the Brewers moved some of the fencing to make more space for the folks waiting for rides.

The single exit for the rest of the lot is not great, and the overall vibe of the Molitor lot has been marred.   I realize these are extremely first world problems, but in some ways that was a bigger disappointment to me last Monday than the on-field results.

At some point this season we're bound to be placed in a spot closer to Yount Drive and will have to walk around almost the entire rideshare area just to get out of the lot.  It's disappointing that they couldn't preserve even a narrower walkway on that side of the lot.

Mercury was between the Earth and the moon??? I'm trying to figure out if this was a typo or bad April Fool's joke? 🤔

It was, of course, 100% an April Fools joke.

Yeah that's a pleasure I had the opportunity to partake of just a couple weeks back.  Hang in there, it'll be over soon.

Bad April fools joke. I put it in the wrong thread by mistake. I posted on our work facebook page to join us to watch it and someone called asking where we were meeting. I told them we're going to be at the bar next door and will go out to the parking lot to watch it. I assumed they were also joking. Nobody called the next day asking where we were so I think I assumed correctly.

conspiracy theories are not limited to Gen Z

also:

Birds Aren't Real is a satirical conspiracy theory which posits that birds are actually drones operated by the United States government to spy on American citizens. In 2018, journalist Rachel Roberts described Birds Aren't Real as "a joke that thousands of people are in on."
