If you got a funky delivery the Brewers will give you a shot……no.matter how terrible your numbers are……lol

Good numbers at Round Rock last year FWIW

I'd get it if he had 2 options, but only 1 for a recently drafted 7th rd pitcher already place at A ball?  Barring some kind of turn around year, Anderson is a 1 and done, if he even makes it that long.

The Brewers have a decent track record on moves like this, which suggests pretty clearly that the Brewers see something in him that they feel Texas didn't fully develop or capitalize on.  I still like Tyler Jay, so I'm hoping he goes unclaimed and would take an NRI deal.

Yeah, his 8.10 ERA with TEX last year was largely driven by giving up 11 HR in only 26 IP.

He's had a some encouraging peripherals in his MLB stints (4.07 xERA in 2023, 4.33 xFIP in 2024) and Steamer appears to think those are more indicative of his true talent level with a 4.17 ERA projection for 2025.

There are 185 relievers with at least 100 IP from 2022-24 with Hoby Milner coming in at 191 IP (14th) | 76 FIP- (39th) | 83 ERA- (72nd) | 64 BB%+ (11th) | 65 HR9+ (48th) | 2.6 fWAR (38th) | 1.9 rWAR (69th) | +2.61 WPA (48th)

Even though Hoby didn't have big strikeout stuff (105 K%+ | 117th) he managed to be somewhere around a top 40 to 70 reliever in MLB over a three year stretch.

If the Brewers can get Anderson's homer issues similarly under wraps like they did with Hoby (168 HR9+ from 2017-21) there could definitely be something there.

Deals like this we used to laugh at. But after the last couple years we just have to let the Brewers Front Office be the Brewers and turn these guys into studs.

Seemed like Arnold was collecting guys coming off years with ERAs of 8 last offseason.  By the end of the year our AAA bullpen depth was probably better than some team's MLB bullpens.  I won't be one to be negative on these moves.

I'm just happy to see that this is the prevailing thought amongst BF posters and no one has mentioned "dumpster diving" in a while. 😂  Maybe we finally realize that not all moves have to be needle movers.

And I think we can ALL agree that removing someone named "Molina" off the Brewer roster is a positive thing (no offense to Mason directly of course).

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Maybe he is taking over for Devin Williams.

This is still dumpster diving. But the Brewers FO are now acting like Peter Parker and getting usefull things out of the dumpster. So it's less complaining about needing to shop in the waste bins and more excitement to see how they make this piece useful.

Still wish the economics would be fixed so this isn't the only option for the Brewers.

Yeah...that or we just found enough stuff in the dumpster that you gotta stop complaining about it.

I didn't like giving up a kid like Chambers, a young HS arm that we just signed for a guy who was being DFA'd... and yet Hudson was outstanding and seems to be a huge part of this pen.

So maybe it's because we don't need "needle movers," or hell, maybe it's because most Brewers fans are realizing we an find them in the dumpster bin as well!
