A totally unbiased opinion that I'm sure is devoid of any hyperbole...

It wouldn't surprise me if the reality was closer to the Aaron Jones situation where the Packer's and Viking's deals were ultimately the same amount, with the Viking giving him more guaranteed money.

Well...of course, but given he had no GTD money left on his deal, I don't find it that had to believe... maybe it was similar to what Jones got from the Vikings(that's what he ended up signing for). I would guess given the position and the player, it'd be more. I don't think Jones leaves last year if the Packers don't sign Jacobs...so following that logic, I tend to believe they would have made more of an effort to keep Jaire.

I thought 10M and incentives would make it worth it to the Packers.

I definitely believe he took less to play for Baltimore but I don't know how much less.

Either way, it's over so... if his Dad was lying or not, I don't know. I'd probably not want to sign and listen to bad information coming out and it's not like it came from the Packers. It was always pretty vague on their end.

I've accepted this alt stuff is here to stay, but I wish the Packers would do something really fresh with it. Homage to County Stadium with Braves/Brewers color scheme or something. I'm just bored with the traditional scheme or the Acme stuff. Just do something new.

It's hard to do a throwback when your uniform hasn't significantly changed in 60 years. The vikings have new uniforms every other year it seems so they can pretty much pinpoint the exact non Super Bowl winning year they want to celebrate. But I do think an homage to County Stadium would be cool for an alternate.

Russini: The Packers and T Zach Tom have agreed to a four-year, $88 million extension that includes a $30.2 million signing bonus, a record for an offensive lineman, a source tells @mattschneidman.bsky.social.

Training Camp starts today Wednesday and the Green Bay Packers signed WR Will Sheppard and K Mark McNamee (mack-nuh-me). The moves were announced Tuesday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.

Sheppard (6-3, 196), a rookie, played in 55 games at Vanderbilt (2020-23) and Colorado (2024). He finished with 200 receptions for 2,688 yards (13.4 avg.) and 27 touchdowns. Sheppard also returned 18 punts for 131 yards (7.3 avg.). In 2022, he registered career highs in receptions (60), receiving yards (776) and receiving TDs (nine), earning second-team All-Southeastern Conference honors from The Associated Press and third-team honors from Phil Steele's College Football. Sheppard will wear No. 82 for the Packers.

McNamee (6-4, 208), a rookie, joins the Packers as part of the NFL's International Player Pathway Program. The Ireland native comes to Green Bay after spending the last month with the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League. McNamee participated in the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. He was a goalkeeper in Gaelic football for Ballyboden St Endas in Dublin, Ireland. McNamee will wear No. 41 for the Packers.

I absolutely love the alternate uniform. The helmet is awesome.

Agreed. I'm not normally pro-alternates, but I like this one.  Very clever to make a "leather" helmet.

A little surprising that was the most given to an OL, but I'd guess that's because the Packers are pretty firm about not paying GTD money other than the SB. So they have a lot of large Signing Bonuses, but not as much GTD money after. Maybe some roster bonuses, but those aren't GTD at the time of signing.

Anyway, I think this was actually a pretty team friendly deal.

I don't see a big difference in value when you differentiate LT and RT any longer. I thought 25-28M could have been the target. 22-23M is a good number for the Packers.
