Was at the game last night, second game of the year in person other than Opening Day...was getting real sick of seeing 0 offense again but then that all changed in the 9ths and 10th. What a great W let's hope it gets them goin' here back to ,500!

@Brock Beauchampis there useful or interesting data measuring whether we believe the Brewers will win today? I wonder if we should change the daily poll question to something like over under or a more specific prediction about the game?

I generally feel bad predicting the Brewers to lose but also feel silly predicting them to win each game, too.

It's just a fun, silly poll mostly.

We're playing around with polling as a first step in new interactivity. Ultimately, my goal is to start offering picks to click, players of the game, and other more nuanced stuff.

It sure would be nice to win 4 in a row before traveling to play the hot Phillies, losing only one of their last 10 games. Maybe the Brewers getting hot can stop the Phillies streak.

It would be nice to get over .500 today even though it’s probably a pretty quick spot at the top of the mountain with the schedule we have coming up

No fear here!

I am really excited for this one, a sweep of the Sox would be huge and 1 game over .500 feels so much better than 1 under.

On a different note, I read something that I think was on the brewers website but I couldn't find it to quote anything. Essentially it said with Quintana and Woody getting close the team has some tough choses on who goes to AAA. It made it sound like the team was going to do everything it could not to use up Priester's last option and that Murphy or at least a coach had talked to Patrick about the possibility of being sent down. I can understand sending Henderson down to a small degree with just wanting to keep his workload down and some past injury concerns. However if we send down Patrick and leave Tyler Alexander, Rob Z, and Priester on the big league club over Patrick and Henderson, I will straight up lose it. Just a warning, I will straight up lose all my marbles.

That's the aspect I hate about the whole options remaining, 40-man roster thing. I would even assume they're  talking to teams about trades--not a blockbuster or anything, but something to alleviate the possible logjam. I say 'possible' because with this organization & injuries you never know. Kind of like what they're certainly trying to do right now with Payamps, probably w/o much success.

Maybe an in-game direct line to the dugout through a mini ribbon-board, things like "Please refrain from chasing sliders that are below the knees & a foot outside". Sign me up.☺️

If we could give you all an option to disable Murphy's bullpen phone, we would.

I read that as well. It was the article about Henderson being sent down. https://www.mlb.com/brewers/news/logan-henderson-optioned-to-triple-a

And to think it was 2 short years ago that people complained about CC leaving pitchers in too long...

The Civale yank was head scratching yesterday. BP thin, Civale doing "ok" and 80ish pitches and you don't let him get out of his own jam? That was one to roll with.

You know it is bad when the announcers are surprised when the SP comes out to start the 6th...

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Someone cited stats in another thread, maybe it was for Patrick and not Civale, but it's a 3rd time through the order thing. With the top turning over again and 2 left-handers coming, it wasn't surprising that Murphy pulled him with the score what it was.

If you have a well-rested BP, I understand the strategy... but at some point you have to let the SP try to get out of the 6th.  The younger guys that need innings restrictions... OK.  But I'd let Civale run yesterday.
