Surprised by Mis over Henderson, who is already on the 40 man, no?

Not with Mis 2.13 ERA.  Henderson will be next I'm sure.

Now if they could ever score some runs. cuz 1 or 2 runs won't cut it for any pitcher.

Sweet, I would guess it is only for a start or two but now I have to contain the excitement in for 2 more days. If we could find a way to piggyback Henderson and Misi that would be sweet.

They are trying to keep Henderson’s innings down.  If Henderson does come backup he will be in the bullpen.  This is due to his past injuries and the previous year he only threw a total of 81 innings.  He is already almost at that total now.  The goal is probably to get him to 100 innings this year which means he only has about 40 innings left for the year.

If Mis fares well, I hope they let him stick around rather than shuttling him back and forth between the majors and AAA. Let the guy grow in the majors rather than settling for some fringe starter who gives up 5 runs on a GOOD day.

Hey I hope he does as well, sure.    But being realistic, I'd be surprised if he isn't sent down the following day.  They have an off day coming Monday.    In addition, its not like our starters of late have not been doing very well. At this point we know the Brewers do tons of roster manipulation with Ps, and its kind of needed with how they tend to pull them a bit early so need fresh BP arms.    Plus, Mis is going to deal with innings limits too.

Does anyone know what his projected innings limit is? I only ask because I'd rather see him stay up now that he's coming up. If he's able to go five innings over the season I'm good with it. If not he'd either be in the pen or back down. That I'm less enthused about.

There needs to be a King Thames version of the bible.

This doesn’t describe anyone currently in the Brewers rotation

It was an exaggeration on my part, but I’ve always been a bit frustrated when a prospect does well and gets called up to the majors, and then gets sent down after one game. It’s not as if we’re exactly sitting on an embarrassment of riches.

So 6 man rotation or what?

Would agree with others that, as they are in the midst of a 10 day stretch of games, it won't be a 6 man rotation, but Mis is being plugged in to not have others pitch on shorter rest.

I like the bringing a guy up and then sending him back down--although hopefully after a couple of appearances and as long as his going back down is "scheduled" in that he knows that no matter how he performs good/bad or ugly he is going to head back to AAA.  It's kind of like a trial run and takes as much pressure to perform off as possible when a guy knows he isn't playing for his roster spot.

We don't NEED Miz right now, but we might need him him September and October.  Getting his feet wet now and acclimating him to the Show for a couple of outings will do him some good when the pressure isn't quite at the level of a playoff run.

He will more than likely go back down.  I believe this is probably a one start only and he will go back down for a reliever the next day.

Preister hasn't been good enough to keep his rotation spot if they decide to keep Misi up. He could be sent down or moved to long relief.
