No home-run derby Bunk! --> Now let's whip Junk!

Our lefty is crafty!  His stuff is still nasty!  Brew Crew by 3!

The win will be tasty!  We're not the Marlins' patsy!

Frelick back to RF. Perkins to 4th OF. That should help the offense.

Every time I start to think Yelich should reduce his plate appearances, he goes on a tear. We can probably add a bat for DH that outperforms Yelich, though.

Sure, if we can get a better offensive shortstop, that’s great too. It should be noted that Joey Ortiz is nearly at replacement level this season. 🙂

Junk is having quite the season. He has given up only one HR and 5 BBs across 55 IPs. He’s due for some regression with 1.6% HR/FB

I would like to get an infielder that can hit at short or third.    If we don’t then turang Durbin or Ortiz gets hurt for awhile and we are stuck with monasterio.   No.   No.  No

trade for a hitter and Durbin can be a utility guy and be done with it

and get a reliever or two.   We are overusing guys and we got a lot of games left.   We have too many long relievers unless we make myers into a one inning guy.   Which I wouldn’t be against

and for godsakes win today.

Would be great to score early and often tonight.  The offense has been way too quiet early in games, even in the 10-run game against Seattle.

Contreras and yelich bat in the first inning.   That’s usually why

Yes those 8 plate appearances are key……along with the error……

more seriously I’m a little surprised they are going without a left handed hitting first base option…….maybe a trade is coming?

Siegler hasn’t played first has he?

It's a homecoming for Jansen Junk. 0.16 HR/9 I don't think I've ever seen a number so low for a starter. 1 HR in 55 innings. No strike outs and absolutely no walks. Just a weird, extreme stat line.

I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

You goofy, Durbin has a .347 avg last 30 games. With a .422 on base % that certainly is in the top 20 in all of baseball every position for that time frame.   https://www.mlb.com/player/caleb-durbin-702332

I really thought it would be Siegler leaving instead of Black. So Monasterio is basically the backup 1B & SS (at least for now) which is a little bit of a strange combo. Of course the roster will probably look a little different come next weekend.

@markedman5, Siegler has never played 1B in pro ball.

@markedman5, Siegler hasn't played 1B that I know of.

I'm sure its because Anthony Seigler:

Positions: Catcher, Second Baseman and Third Baseman

Brewers in a jam he can slide right in.

I think Yelich is one of the biggest keys to the Brewers staying near the top of the playoff standings. Every game I hope to see him line one into left center like he does when he’s on. Lately most of what we see is K’s and weak grounders to the right side

Given his history you have to wonder if he is wearing down  and notjust in a temporary slump

Even though it’s tongue in cheek there is a lot of truth when I say when yelich hits the brewers win.    Just tell me what he does in the box score and I don’t need to see anything else

I really want to see a win tonight because I don’t like the pitching matchup tomorrow when we’ll be putting our 7-0 season record on the line.
Perez has been dominating in his last few starts and I expect the Marlins to have a plan for dealing with Woodruff 2.0 now that they’ve seen that he doesn’t have his his old fastball

I agree 100%, if Yelich and Contreras could get it together soon there would be no stopping us.

59 games left, then the playoffs.

OOPS, I missed that Yelich is getting is together lately .316 avg last 30 games,  He really did have a bad start of the 2025 season.
