Seems like there was reporting that the team wants Gasser to get used to making bullpen appearances at AAA. Probably take a couple weeks to shift from the regular schedule of starting to having some non-regular intervals between shorter appearances. But talent-wise, Gasser probably is better than Payamps.

There was a time, not too long ago, after a particularly miserable offensive performance in September from an otherwise strong club, that I mused out loud something along the lines of, "well, at least the brass is getting a good long look at who doesn't belong on the postseason roster."

Then we all got treated to a heaping scoop of Jesse Winker in a playoff series the Brewers would ultimately lose.

So I am making it very clear that I have absolutely no intention of saying any such thing this year, and will be keeping my big mouth shut.

Really disappointing game. Best I can say is we didn’t get swept and took the tiebreaker against the Phils. Good thing we’ve built up a cushion because this team hasn’t been trending in a good direction for almost a month now.

This has nothing to do with the catch or the theatrics after it but I don't think there is a person in this world I would want to see get a paintball to the groin more than Harrison Bader.

It’s just bad.   They are losing because they are playing bad.   There is no sugar coating it.    And it’s ridiculous the roster we have.   I hate the whole “he’s due” fantasy in baseball.  Haase for Jansen.   Hoskins for Bauers.   Black for siegler and lockridge for Perkins and let’s have players who might actually do something.    We are playing four players that aren’t cutting it.    FOUR
