Or starting Priester this game instead of game 2.

Stop. We won game 2. It worked. Maybe he ***** the bed regardless and we’re down 2-1

So I think tomorrow is easy.  Just start the game with our closer - Uribe shuts down the first.  The Cubs don't score after the first...

Wasted a bullpen that will be asked to do this all over again. Probably twice.

Nah. We got it tomorrow. Freddy will give us 5 or 6. And then we have Uribe and Megill fresh.

I assume they go Boyd but wind projected to be blowing out makes it a tougher choice. Could go Rea and Bullpen I suppose.

And the momentum swings.

I disagree.  While they won... they had one big inning and nothing (again) after that.

Abner and Megill rested, Ashby likely ready for his typical role.  Cubs went through every key reliever to scratch this win out.

The 8th was a great shot. We had multiple shots to get to Taillon. I’m trying to feel confident that it’s still fine, but I’ve got that nagging doubt in the back of my mind from years of watching this team play in October.

We will win Game 4!

This team makes the game so hard for the opponent!

Cubs will not overcome our relentlessness tomorrow!

Cubs had ONE good inning vs the Brewers.

Priester was due a loss and... they couldn't get anything else going vs the Brewers pitching... and we blew this one.

That's it. We're going to be fine. No fatalistic BS now. We're still up 2-1 and this series isn't gonna make it back to Milwaukee.

I'm just hoping the Phillies can take a couple games so Philly comes to Milwaukee on October 13th!!!!

I'm with you. Brewers showed why they're so tough there. They locked the Cubs down and gave themselves plenty of chances to score and just didn't get the hit or got themselves out. They have some horses tomorrow should they need them.

Disappointing loss. 8th inning was huge. Turang has done nothing to justify hitting 3. The constant lineup shuffle is ridiculous. It's not hard given the pieces to write certain names in certain spots. Yount hit 2 for 13 straight years. Just put guys in spots and leave them only manager.

Or maybe he pitches the game of his life. Sorry, you don't start a rookie making his postseason debut on the road in a hostile environment, and against a team he cheered for as a kid no less. This start was predictable, and it was even worse than I thought it would be.

**** this.     Priester.    Dude.    You can’t do that.    Well.  The whole series comes down to tomorrow

lol no it doesn’t. We are the favorite tomorrow and again in game 5 if we win.

I just simply cannot feel optimistic about this. I don't know how anyone can. This team has absolutely ripped our heart out for the last 8 years.

You've said that every game.

After the first inning yesterday, you said the series was over...

Pinch hitting for Mona, who hits RHP at a .268 clip but letting .206 Perkins hit against RHP 2x is just piss poor managing. Murph went galaxy brain today and it cost this team game 3.

Sucks we didn’t get the sweep. Cubs haven’t played well and aren’t that talented compared to what is likely the Dodgers next. A sweep would have given me a bit more foolish optimism we could beat the Dodgers.

If your opinion is that he shouldn’t have pitched today then fine. Start Q. I would have been good with that. But they used a strategy to win game 2 and it worked. Full stop. We’re up 2-1.

I would have preferred to hit for Blake and throw Bauers in LF. But I’m guessing Chourio can’t play anywhere else and they were out of OF.

I feel pretty good. We can lose it, sure, but we will fight all the way. I loved how the team kept at it all game to give themselves a chance.
