98-64

MVP: Chourio

Cy: Uribe

ROY: Williams

Surprise: could be any of the young guys so I’ll agree with the other post that Rengifo becomes a regular.

Disappointment: Yelich

I like it, OWBC.  Reading between the lines on the 98-64 record, that looks like a WS winner prediction to me.

I'm going with 91 regular season wins.

This year, I can't even predict a CY or MVP I feel strongly for.  There's 3-4 guys I could easily see getting each of these awards, and a few dark horses that wouldn't totally shock me.  For grins, I'll go:

CY:  Les Mis

MVP: Turang

Surprise:  Ortiz

Disappointment: Yelich

ROY:  Yoho

Chourio on the IL to start the season, Priester down for a month or two if not the season, and Woodruff always a huge question mark does not sound like the start to a promising season.

This looks like the year that the Brewers don't significantly outperform expectations.

My guess is 85-77. In the running for a wildcard  spot for most of the season but no playoffs.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I forgot to predict the postseason but I'll take the Brewers over the Mariners in 7. Why not?

If I added & divided right the Win predictions in this thread averaged out to 91 (which the Brewers just hit today)

This board still predicted higher win totals than most of the experts in the industry.

Obviously great baseball minds, here.

Those Cubs fans at Fangraphs finally gave the Brewers the 100% for the division just a few days ago.   Baseball Reference had the Brewers at nearly 100% since late August.   So,, I am not Fangraphs.

Screw that! FanGraphs is a load of poppycock! And I don't buy the whole "our algorithms just don't work for the Brewers" excuse. You know what? When you're predictions underestimate the same team year after year, you change your prediction methods. But nah, FanGraphs probably already has the Brewers slated for 84 wins next year, and has them finishing 6 games behind the Cubs.

What was your prediction?

I didn’t see it here.
