You think the Nationals have more talent? The manager seems to be pushing some buttons this weekend.

Like telling James Wood to hit?

You’re putting WAY too much weight on the mangers for the results of these three games.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

All I said was his lack of in game skill is about to be exposed with this roster. I don’t think it's something to argue about. You seem to for whatever reason

What a terrible week of baseball. No wins since an ugly one on Monday. This team has not gelled. Injuries are only part of the story. We have a deficiency in major league talent when compared to most of our opponents.

But the prospects!!

Disclaimer:  I have not followed these recent games closely at all, so I admit I may be totally wrong.  But perhaps the Nats have figured out how to beat us at our own game, including simply not giving away runs with shabby defense?  And of course, we can't hit for 💩

Oh wow.  We scored! My post did not age well, thankfully.

And what I’m saying is that in game moves can be greatly overrated in a baseball game.

If the hitters don’t hit and the pitchers can’t get guys out the manager is not going to make a difference.

Message board posters who can second guess everything are never wrong.

If Yelich is injured & goes on the IL, who gets the call from Nashville?

On merit it would be Luis Lara, then Eddys Leonard or Greg Jones. The 40-man is not super flexible right now unless they're willing to DFA Black or Rodriguez or 60-day Rob Z.  So it might actually end up being Cooper Pratt.

So you're saying the 2 time manager of the year is just along for the ride? Interesting

Give us your take on Ashby every other day.

This team needs to do some bullpen reshuffling on Monday. And to get healthy.

We're 15 games in, so everything is a big whatever, but you'd expect these guys to do the little things right. Not doing that, especially on defense, has been a really big problem this past week.

Hoping they can continue to hit and win a slugfest here, but they're really going to have to get guys right or bring up some new 6th-8th inning arms soon.

Remember when we traded Williams for Durbin and Cortes and Cortes was so bad we felt the need to trade him along with a prospect to San Diego for Lockridge and then to compound it all we actually think Lockridge is good and play him way too much?
