23 year old right-hander Eury Pérez makes his second career start against Milwaukee. Last time on 7/27/25, Perez went five innings allowing 2 H, 2 BB, 1 ER while striking out 6. The Brewers won 3-2. Pérez averages 98.2 mph with his fastball but hasn't been particularly effective this season: 1-1 with 5.40 ERA, 5.67 FiP, 1.55 WHIP and 5 BB/9. source

Jacob Misiorowski makes his fifh start of the season and first ever against Miami. For Miz, strikeouts are up and so are home runs allowed but walks are down this season. Miz's fastball averages 98.5 mph this season.

Oooof.  Also had to check that Perkins is still on the roster, since he didn't make it into the Sundayest lineup ever.

I think the organization knows who Perkins is at this point. Not much chance to catch lightning in a bottle anymore than we already did with Perkins. Might as well give Jones and Matos another look. Lara is close, I would think.

This might be the most Sunday Brewers lineup of all Sunday Brewers lineups in this current era. Miz is like the 4th longest tenured Brewers player playing today and he has been with us for about 15 minutes.

Looking forward to it!

Also, tickets should be "pay what you want" if your team's starting lineup doesn't have a combined .600 OPS.

Seems that way. All things considered though, I still see Perkins as being ahead of both Jones & Matos once the roster shakes out & people return from injury. Surprised he hasn't found his way into the lineup in over a week. I suppose Matos has a chance of sticking as a RH bench bat if he can put something together in the next week or two.

It’s like discussing pecking order for players who didn’t make the team out of ST and Perkins hasn’t done anything to change that with his play. As Chourio, Vaughn and Yelich return to health he’ll be shipped back to AAA along with Matos and Jones.

So much hate for Ortiz on the forums, but that play proves his worth.  We won the most games in baseball last year with Ortiz playing great defense and hitting.220 most of the year.

Sunday defense, in addition to the Sunday batting order is not looking like a winning formula.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

This will be a day to give the bottom of the bullpen some innings.

He really needed to get that 3rd out with no further damage after getting the DP. 2-0 was already a tall order with this lineup, 3-0 is a pretty big hole.

HIs splits against leftys are ok. Need to find a left handed hitting SS to platoon for now until the prospects are ready.
