Pirates (Keller) vs Brewers (Misiorowski): 4/25/26, 6:10pm

Posted

Right-hander Mitch Keller makes his 13th career start against Milwaukee. Keller faced the Brewers three times in 2025, pitching well at PNC Park (twice) and poorly at American Family Field (once). The Brewers beat Keller twice last season. Keller has a lifetime 5.31 ERA and 1-7 record against the Brewers.

Jacob Misiorowski makes his third career start against Pittsburgh. Miz is 2-0 with 0.75 ERA over 12 career IP against the Pirates.

We need to scrap the Wisco Way Uniform ASAP.

This is the one thing I think the entirety of the board will either be fully or partially or superstitiously behind. Don't want them back.

Let's not take Gary Sanchez out of the lineup today, please, Murph. We need his power so long as three of our biggest power hitters are out.

Mitch Keller has been a bit lucky this season. Need our lefties (looking at you Turang and Bauers) to feast as Keller struggles much more against lefties.

Giants and Red Sox have 15 HR this season, last in MLB. Milwaukee has 19, second worst.

Monasterio just hit a grand slam, so the Sox are creeping closer

And Durbin followed two batters later with his own 2-run shot

To put those homers into perspective, Monasterio’s came in the ninth inning of a 8-1 game against a mop up reliever making his first MLB appearance of the season. Durbin hit his off of a position player who gave up another a few batters later.

1 hr in 9 games is unsustainable.

It might be sustainable but it probably isn’t survivable.

Black hitting cleanup?

You want Turang, Contreras and Bauers at the top getting as many AB's as possible so the other options are Mitchell, Frelick, Jones, Hamilton and Ortiz.  I'd probably put Mitchell there but Black is like 1 of 2 choices because no way in hell any of the others should be there.

2-2!  Could have been better but I'll take it at this point.

Yes, would be nice to score a run without making an out at the same time, but I will take it as well

I'd say they were getting unlucky with the hard hit outs... because they are, but there was some BABIP magic in Black's double, and the error letting Bauers take 2nd didn't hurt either.
