I agree it wasn’t the worst thing. But I’m pretty sure it was a Degeneration X era “suck it” motion yeah?

I'm too old and out of touch to confirm or deny.  🤣

Rodriguez too if that's the case

Any non-close game and he throws for sure.  Rob Z could possibly be activated on Friday.

A lot will depend on how the game goes. Because of the off day Thursday and how little work some of the relievers have gotten, almost everyone is a candidate.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I think a knee drop & giving thanks for pitching a scoreless inning would've been much more appropriate for Uribe after a four-pitch walk w/2 outs & no one on in a 6-0 game. That tells me, just as much as his theatrics do, that there's much growing up to do. @liveforoctober makes a great point re Peralta no longer being here; I would hope that has nothing to do with it but..........?

After the bad throw in the 1st inning, wow, Hamilton really showed me something with the glove.

With the speed & power combo, what I wouldn't give for Mitchell to cut the K rate, even to 25%.

Murph with the predictable response post-game. Disappointing.

He also said he wouldn't be surprised if the MLB didn't do something. Muf set the table.

MLB stepping in might be the best path forward from the Brewers perspective.  Bad guy isn't in the room that way and there's an obvious ability to point to how it hurts the team.  I don't really get the impression that Uribe is arrogant enough to think he's bigger than the team is and I suspect he listens to Contreras, even if Contreras isn't as good as Freddy was at helping him keep his emotions in check to some degree.

Seems like a loose cannon who needs a veteran mentor. That's the thing about young teams. Maybe short of vets to help him.

I thought of adding a KRod type player at the deadline to move everyone in the bullpen down a step and that might add the vet presence that Abner may need.

Maybe Chapman would be the perfect add after all..

I love Murph, of course, but he's just wrong here. Old white guy policing the celebration of a young latin american player. If MLB wants to come down with a fine, whatever. Murph didn't need to give his full throated support, but he could have been a lot more diplomatic in a way that isn't scolding or embarrassing Uribe.

Uribe embarrassed himself on TV.

Jeepers I just saw the vision.. what a story this would be.

Deadline comes around the Brewers trade for Freddy to shore up the rotation and get Uribe right.

Then trade with Boston for Chapman and get them to throw Durbin in the deal.

Both deals we give back significantly less than we originally got. Arnold goated. World Series locked.

I would not mind that at all. Take some pressure off Ashby and removes DL Hall from walking people in the playoffs Drohan stays in long relief. 7th,8th,9th with Chapman, AUribe, Megill would be nice.

What Uribe did wasn't celebrating it was taunting the opponent and Murphy surely wasn't just pissed at him for that. He was probably also pissed at Uribe for challenging a pitch when the Brewers have a strict no pitcher challenges policy.

I didn't see the game but did read this thread. I always laugh when it's the same jackasses complaining about players that have good games.

Only if you haven't watched any sports for the last 30 years.
