What is the defense of Blake Perkins playing today much less on the roster? I was attacked for saying it's a personal choice of the manager but there is no other explanation. If you want him around to pinch run fine but to actually play him in a game?

Not having a better option than Perkins on the bench for a LHP.  Frelick shouldn't be seeing LHP and neither should Mitchell but unfortunately there is only 1 RHB on the bench who can play all three OF spots.

Bauers would be better to have but I can see why they may want to give him a day off here and there.  Either Mitchell or Frelick need to go down to the minors and I would prefer Frelick to go down as Mitchell provides more power.
