Maybe he can reach back and just swing the bat at the catcher and try to draw an interference call.

Rengifo and Perkins should be gone tonight. No questions asked.  I can deal with Hamilton if he does something other than bunt and I can also deal with Ortiz if he’s used as a late inning defensive replacement
