A .779 OPS and 5 dingers isn’t good enough for a guy who makes 25 million a year and hogs the DH spot on a nightly basis because he can’t field any position adequately.

All long term FA deals have frontloaded production and backloaded pay. We’re top 10 in MLB in WAR and OPS from the DH position.

Yelich hasn't been the same since he got plunked in the knee in Miami.

Yelich hasn’t been worth his salary since he broke his kneecap

He is advancing in years when ailments never get well.

Which is why we should generally stay away from those deals.

Series win. Feel like it should have been a sweep but the pitching injuries caught up to the Brewers today.

Smith’s splitter is ridiculous. Tip your cap.

It's unfortunate that Turang tried to bunt the worst splitter he threw today.

Attenasio wanted to keep the fan favorite. I'm sure the baseball guys tried to talk him out of it.

Only 3 years left

Not sure he’s going to be lineup worthy for that long.

He's already probably a guy who should be sliding down the order and we know that the reasons he isn’t are more political than production related.

I’d like to think that the Brewer fanbase has evolved to a point where we have a pretty good understanding of why guys that most fans have never heard of are getting long-term contracts while the guys they know about aren’t.

I don’t really know, though, how many fans still consist of mostly casuals who are just there for the big names.

At least we lost by two so no one blames our DH who misjudged his leap in LF early in the game resulting in a cheap HR

I’d be lying if I said this didn’t cross my mind

I'm taking the owner at his own words. He has publicly discussed the decision to sign Yeli long term.

Well, going 1 for 12 with runners in scoring position did not help. They had 15 baserunners today. The opportunities were there.

Chourio is a DH

Holy overreaction. Chourio has been the best defensive OFer on the team this year by OAA and DRS in far less innings. He's got tremendous range and one of the best jumps in the game.

Robbing HRs is such a small fraction of an OFer's responsibilities.

He is in no way shape or form a DH.

Today was a disappointing loss given that, unless they run into a team in September that is seriously tanking, this was the weakest lineup the Brewers will face all season. But, it’s hard to win games with only who runs so, from that standpoint, they were lucky to win the series.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

It’s facts which contradict your opinion.

if you have facts which show he should be a DH, I’d be curious to see them.

Is there any chance Vaughn can save his career in the brewers organization eyes after making an out with the bases loaded.   That could be the last at bat in a brewers uniform

He’s misplayed several wall balls resulting in cheap HRs.

Good news: We already have an aging, injury prone, inconsistent, overpaid DH in Yelich, so even though Chourio would fit well in that role … it is not available until 2029 at the earliest.
